I thought this was obvious but apparently it isn’t. The AI capex is largely an inference driven spend NOT a training one. Yes the Chinese proved they can train a model much more efficiently and that the frontier labs have no most at the model layer However the Chinese can’t possibly serve all the inference demand. Nor can the Hyperscalers either. Whether users pick Claude or Kimi there’s acute demand for more inference and it’ll go up and to the right for years to come.
