Sayeed was a former Master Trainer and Instructor at the British Council in Afghanistan. When the unexpected and catastrophic removal of troops happened, he and his wife were forced to flee. His wife was 7 months pregnant at the time. He, his wife and very young little boy are currently stranded in Pakistan. They have permission to be in the UK and a valid UK Visa, but this can only be actioned if they have a place to live when they get here, which has to be organised before he leaves. This means him organising accommodation in the uk, from Pakistan, and then arranging his flight here. He has neither the means, knowledge or money to do this. They're currently living in unsuitable quarters in Pakistan and their visa to remain has expired. This is leaving them at the mercy of authorities there and blackmail. I am, as are they of course, petrified that his wife or child may come to serious harm if they're not helped soon. Already they have experienced several threats including kidnap and rape. They have no access to amenities, or services, medical or otherwise, and I believe they are in very serious danger. I have written to absolutely everyone I can possibly think of, from Johnny Mercer, to the Home Office and every single MP and celebrity and councillor I can think of. I have written multiple times and absolutely nobody replies and I'm running out of options, and I fear they're running out of time. If you can use your platform or money to help, I beg of you to do so. I am hitting brick walls in every single direction or path I try. If you *really* care about the plight of genuine refugees and asylum seekers, I beg of you to help me help Sayeed and his small family. Believe it or not, people like me, just normal people, do things like this all the time behind the scenes, we just don't post about it or brag about it, we just get on with trying to do something good. Your apathy and perpetual outrage based on simply hating anyone with an opposing opinion to you, isn't actually helping anyone. People like Sayeed, and many other people I have tried to help, are stuck in these situations because the current immigration is backlogged because of tens of thousands of fake refugees and asylum seekers. When you champion this, you simply make life harder for genuine refugees, like my friend. You also create a system whereby, you're allowing in the very people, people like Sayeed are fleeing from. Your system makes the UK dangerous for them, not safe for them. Please, put your money and your virtue where your mouth is, and help my friend get his wife and child to safety. Regards Bo
