Isnโ€™t it funny how work like this got a pass in curator world? How did we get here? Iโ€™d love to know why this became acceptable and normalised in the U.K.

In Margate. My cheeks are red. I am shaking. I popped into an exhibition that turned out to be the insane fever dream of an artist called Matthew Collins: โ€˜Drawings Against Genocide.โ€™ The exhibition is described as โ€˜drawingsโ€ฆ raising consciousness about hellโ€ฆ. Israel is the pure encapsulation of it. Zionism is this terror stateโ€™s ruling ideology.โ€™ Shocked by the use of Nazi imagery - the room is full of the Star of David pasted around figures meant to be Israelis and the Jewish โ€˜lobbyโ€™ spewing blood, to say nothing of blonde yummy mummies wearing โ€˜globalise the intifadaโ€™ shirts, I spoke to the artist to share my reaction as a Jewish person. He was instantly aggressive. As soon as I started to say I was shocked and threatened by what I was seeing because it was Nazi imagery, the artist started yelling at me that I didnโ€™t mean anything I was saying. Anytime I tried to speak (calmly) he said: โ€˜you donโ€™t mean any of what you said, youโ€™re just repeating โ€˜hasbarah talking pointsโ€™ because โ€˜youโ€™re defending a genocideโ€™. On and on he yelled, in my face. I said: โ€˜if I was a Black personโ€ฆโ€™ but couldnโ€™t finish the sentence because: โ€˜youโ€™re not are you?โ€™ On the Nazi ideology point he said: โ€˜yeah. Why do you think itโ€™s there. Israel are the Nazisโ€™. His breath was disgusting. The crowd began booing and closing in around me, making to shoe me out. I said: โ€˜fine, get the Jew outโ€™ and he yelled more across the room at me, โ€˜repeatedly jeering โ€˜call the police, go ahead, call the policeโ€™. I said I would, and the community security trust, which features as a devil in his exhibition. This was met with even more jeering. โ€˜Yeah, call the CSTโ€™ was the last I heard before leaving. Someone snapped pictures of me while I was being shouted at. Short video shows the artist. The longer video, of our final almost surreally disgusting exchange, didnโ€™t record.

London-born painter Gerald Moira (1867โ€“1959) was best known for his murals. Here he is in front of the Old Bailey model. He painted its domed ceilings in 1906 when it was newly built. He returned in his eighties to paint a new mural, after bomb damage was repaired.

A British Jew is waiting in line to be knighted by the Queen. He is to kneel in front of her and recite a sentence in Latin when she taps him on the shoulders with her sword. However, when his turn comes, he panics in the excitement of the moment and forgets the Latin. Then, thinking fast, he recites the only other sentence he knows in a foreign language, which he remembers from the Passover Seder: "Ma nishtana ha layla ha zeh mi kol ha laylot." Puzzled, Her Majesty turns to her advisor and whispers, "Why is this knight different from all other knights?"

British postage stamps had the same image of the Queen from 1966 until her death. These almost unnoticed works of art โ€“ said to be among the most reproduced in history, with 320 billion copies made โ€“ had a connection with the pottery industry, having been designed by the eminent Stoke-on-Trent modeller, Arnold Machin. The image was a photo of a clay bas-relief, reminiscent of reliefs on the ceramics of Wedgwood, a firm Machin once worked for. King Charles's conservatism is reflected in his keeping the same design for his own portrait. Royal Mail selected an adaptation of the coin effigy sculpted by Martin Jennings for the Royal Mint. This was photographed and adjusted to produce an image suitable for stamps.
