@Lee_in_Iowa @BooksofMyHeart Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm working on Book 4 now -- wondering where the months have gone and trying to finish before too much longer!

@MartaAcosta @BooksofMyHeart The Coyote Run books are simply excellent—so gorgeously written and with complex characters who change over time in realistic ways. Add in dogs and mysteries and I’m hooked!

@Lee_in_Iowa I'm so happy that you enjoyed my Coyote Run series! Does Maddie steal another dog in the next book? Er, she does have that tendency!

I was never one of the dog & horse book teenagers, but now I’ve found the dog mysteries as an elder person, & I’m hooked. This is from “Mad Dog Down the Road,” book 2 in ⁦@MartaAcosta⁩ great series Coyote Run: “Humans are the worst animal, Beau. But you know that.”

@dpeterfreund I'm staring out the window at a Coastal live oak right now. I'm in the SF East Bay. There are a few different varieties of live oak. All over the place in California.

@remarkablepaper Why does this terrify me? "Enjoy that sandwich. It's the last one you'll ever eat."

Wonderful interview with @GustavoArellano about Ernest Robles and the legacy of the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Had the pleasure of meeting Gustavo when he read from hilarious Ask A Mexican at Tucson Festival of Books latimes.com/california/sto…

@IBM I don't know what mad genius matched this tedious jargon with a photo of young men and hots dogs, but give her a raise!

Finally grok lyrics "To everything, turn, turn, turn," because the spawn is growing a mullet. I assume it's an ironic mullet, but perhaps the mullet has been unjustly disparaged. #mulletsincerity

Great end to @Radioactive22 Latinas in Hollywood series. Fun story: I met @rosieperezbklyn in the CAA ladies room. I said hi & she said hi. Then I sat in the lobby for 2 hrs to be stood up by an agent who once said, "Where are the Latinos in Hollywood?" tinyurl.com/2cmdk799

Per @MartaAcosta's kind words: L: 1st Dorchester (now defunct) cover. R: Tor's revised reprint of STRANGELY BEAUTIFUL (Gothic, Gaslamp Fantasy Romance). I'll always 🖤 1st cover but remain so grateful @maseditor rescued the whole series. My most beloved characters. #Romancelandia

I miss the first cover for STRANGELY BEAUTIFUL, which perfectly conveyed the mood of this lovely spooky romance. #romancelandia @Leannarenee

@maseditor @Leannarenee I went up against one of the big 5, and, yes, it's terribly hard. It helped that a brilliant agent with a law degree had negotiated my contract. It saddens me when I see things like Michele Serros's books without ebook editions. May she rest in peace @Leannarenee

@MartaAcosta @Leannarenee It can be harder than you think to reclaim rights. So much depends on why/how the publisher goes away and what becomes of the assets, which contracts are considered to be.
