@INTLBaseball24 Thank you, @INTLBaseball24 ! The boys (mostly 18-21yrs young;) did really well. SVK jumped-off to 4:0 lead after 1st inning and still had lead 5:3, in 7th thanks to phenomenal job of SP Maxim Samson. Slovakia was the only country not to lose to GER by the 10 run mercy rule.

Toronto's Adam Macko got his first MLB win last night. From my article for On SI (Sports Illustrated) on his unique journey to the Majors as the first player in MLB history born in Slovakia. 'Adam discovered he had an aptitude for baseball and enjoyed it under the Slovakian coaches, who focused on having fun and throwing strikes. His team only ever played against one other team, which was 30 minutes away. That is the Slovakian version of travel ball.'

@Martin76514799 Breaking news here? Would love to see Slovakia host some games at the top level of European baseball. Slovakian baseball has definitely come a long way and looking forward to seeing how they do at the qualifiers in Poland in July

While Adam Macko will play for Canada, it is his dream to represent Slovakia one day. Hopefully there will be a path to make that happen in the future
