So on Celtic v Hearts. Serious point. When Celtic's third goal goes in there are clearly 30 seconds of the match remaining. So the game has to restart. But it didn't. The game had to be abandoned because of the actions of the Celtic fans. Hearts players were assaulted. So in any normal circumstances surely that would mean the awarding of a 3-0 win to Hearts.

Yes- being in an offside position is not an offence. The ball was passed to a colleague onside and then passed back to the goalscorer. The law was applied correctly.

Can someone please explain how ON EARTH this is onside? Hearts have been absolutely robbed at the death. A very dark day for Scottish football 👍🏼

@Callum8530 @MartinDunbar72 @TheFootyFeed They aren’t lol. They just took a still at the moment the ball is passed and drew the line on the last defender.
They don’t delete players to show you which one they are checking an offside against 🤣
English

@MartinDunbar72 @Malarkey_10 @TheFootyFeed Because they are checking whether the first player was offside lol, which he wasn’t.
English

@MartinDunbar72 @Pandy187 @TheFootyFeed Doesn't matter, learn the bloody offside rule before commenting
English

@Pandy187 @Malarkey_10 @TheFootyFeed So why was the VAR line shown at that phase of play roughly 2 seconds before he scored
English

@MartinDunbar72 @Malarkey_10 @TheFootyFeed That’s a separate phase of play man.
We can all agree that he was in an offside position in this still, but that’s not the way the rule works, which is why he’s not offside.
English

@MartinDunbar72 @Pandy187 @TheFootyFeed No, because he didn't recieve the ball from an offside position, the ball was nowhere near him either 😂
English

@MartinDunbar72 @Pandy187 @TheFootyFeed Because he doesn't recieve the ball in an offside position, hope this helps😂

@HLTCO I get it but the underlying bile and hatred gets misconstrued for passion. Just listen to what is sung etc…
English

@MartinDunbar72 I’m talking about the passion so many fans have for their respective clubs all over the Scottish pyramid. It very much feels like you’ve taken my comment out of context.
English

@Pandy187 @TheFootyFeed He scored one second later. How is that not gaining an advantage?
English

@TheFootyFeed Mate.
I wanted Hearts to win too, but this post just makes you look stupid.
The ball didn’t go to Maeda in this pass

@SMMediaEnt @Erudite4Unity The hypocrisy from Celtic followers is off the scale

No one has fuelled more personal attacks on John Beaton than you have.
Calling him “brother Beaton”, questioning his integrity on multiple occasions and repeatedly insinuating that he has a preferred bias towards Rangers.
Spare me this sympathy towards him now.

This is truly awful…
English

@PoliticsScot Yet literally no one appealed for it. Strange…
English

Incredible. They say this is supposed to be the worst VAR decision ever etc but this shows it’s actually VAR’s finest hour. A clear hand ball that would otherwise have been missed and denied Celtic a deserved penalty was caught by exceptional use of the tooling. Well done VAR.

For clarity, as I realise that not everyone that sees this a Celtic fan. Celtic release a 'Unique Angle' of goals after most games. This the unique angle of the Iheanacho goal. I've slowed it down to shown the clear handball. The Celtic post:

@MartinDunbar72 @Fitzy__07 Wasn't a foul throw 🤷🏻♂️ your lot are brilliant, talk some amount of nonsense 🤷🏻♂️ you ragging 😂😂

@MMcEwanGolf Sounds like him and Rohl are not best of buddies…
