@EffNorwood No.... sickeningly... I used to own 2x21" SGI monitors. They were magnificent, but went to the skip when flatpanels took over. Oh I wish I'd kept them....

@GoldenerReiter2 Transfer speed is rather limited by the CPU, not the Flash. :) When the size gets above 8MB the cost factor is really the primary issue. Adding flash chips is expensive, so it becomes cost effective to shift to a CPLD+optional MCU+SD card type solution.

Yes it's an 8 megabyte flash #Commodore64 cartridge.

@HamsterBite911 That would need 32 of these 2MB chips. :) There are options for larger storage but that's a different design.

I look at #Commodore64 "Dragon Breed" published in 1990 by Activision. The sampled intro with zoom animation, flickering multiplexor, and use a tool to emulate a Ye Olde Style CRT TV. youtu.be/PppEf2q0oDk

So it costs no more to extract and refine now than it did 3 weeks ago before the war. Increased charges to the consumer are merely corporate greed.

I thought I would add a test menu, like the original arcade version, for #MegaWang After Burner... This will make it easier to test my new Audio3 PCBs.

I look at #Amiga "Turrican" published in 1990 by Rainbow Arts. It uses a double buffer plus pristine buffer for the scroll, with minimal edge updates, and also look at some of the early boss sections. youtu.be/W67vrdKYHMw
