I look at #Commodore64 "Glider Rider" published in 1986. This isometric game uses hires bitmap and dynamic hardware sprite animations with masking. I extract the graphical data, and discover the map format in memory. youtu.be/Mxb2Ega7YLw

@MattDIYgraphics Yes, my super scaled sprites have 5 bits of accuracy, so it can smoothly scale from ~1/32th size to up to ~4 times in size in X and Y independently. Depending on the original size of the sprite data. I forget how many bits of accuracy Sega use, it was a little bit more.

I'm glad the court found there were two material breaches of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and that SKM was found to be evasive when I contacted SKM about the breach of my personal details to Ms Carol Loi who subsequently doxed me, which resulted in me receiving death threats. I had to summon Carol Loi to court to get the doxing stopped. I think it highlights how organisations should properly handle received complaints about poor conduct and to properly consider guarding against retaliation. I am of course disappointed there wasn't enough judged emotional harm for an award of damages against SKM. I think it is strange because I received death threats that mentioned specific churches, one of which was close to where my daughter would sometimes go for school activities, and in my view the religious nature of those threats was an aggravating factor. However, regardless of this, I hope SKM accept their judged breaches of the PDPA and act better with kindness in the future. channelnewsasia.com/singapore/pers…

@MartinPiper @ModernVintageG Thanks. Do you have a ref/link to the buffer visualization of Sega X board. I mean I would like to know in term of the game design. How many rotation/scaling image for each sprite. Or how they arrange those sprite on the screen space.

@MattDIYgraphics @ModernVintageG The number of sprites is a factor of how many pixels are able to be drawn each frame. There are some clocks for sprite screen boundary checks.

@MattDIYgraphics @ModernVintageG Yes. Like the Sega X board system, the scaled sprites use the whole frame time to render into a screen buffer while the other is displayed (and cleared).
