🌍 There is a risk that the EU’s adaptation policy might not keep pace with climate change, according to a report published today by the European Court of Auditors. Extreme climate events such as heatwaves ☀️, drought 🌾 and flooding 🌊 are occurring with increasing severity and frequency. They also have major economic consequences. 💶 While the EU has a sound framework for addressing the impact of climate change, adaptation policies experience issues when put into practice. Dubnová plenárka uzavírá pět let mého druhého období v roli europoslance. Z pohledu zpráv, na kterých jsem pracoval, myslím úspěšně. Díky kolegům z @Europarl_EN! Dík patří ale i mým posledním návštěvníkům z Česka za debatu. Mým posledním stážistkám. A samozřejmě hlavně celému mému týmu! Bylo mi ctí. :-) K zprávám, které jsme v posledních dnech schválili (celkem jsem se v @EP_Economics podílel na 14 textech): ✅ Fiskální pravidla Věřím, že nová pravidla pomohou zamezit epizodám, které přivádějí naše rozpočty do krize. A tím více ochrání životy lidí i stabilitu ekonomiky Evropské unie. Za EP jsem vyjednal návrh, jak by měly vypadat. A získal pro něj širokou podporu. ✅ Praní špinavých peněz Přísnější pravidla uzavírající mezery v boji proti praní špinavých peněz, financování terorismu a úniku před sankcemi v EU. Pro nelegální peníze a majetky nesmí být v Evropě místo. ✅ DEBRA Daňový návrh na zavedení smyspluplného odečtu pro navýšení kapitálu by podpořil malé a střední firmy. Parlament je pro, pozitivní zprávy přichází i z Rady. Snad se naše firmy dočkají. ✅ CMDI Cílem zprávy na úpravu pravidel pro řešení bankovních krizí je nastavit lepší řešení pro případy pádů středně velkých bank. Aby méně postihly klienty a náklady neplatili daňoví poplatníci.
