Darwin Núñez avg'd 20 G/A per season at LFC despite starting only about 50% of games. Context: No LFC player has hit that yet & we're almost in March. Easily one of most underrated LFC players ever. Big mistake selling him—we'd have been much stronger with Núñez as an attacking option this season. Salah: "After Firmino, Núñez is my favourite player to play with"

@LFCLaurie It's all relative. Comparing a 17 year old footballer to Joe Public is pointless. 3 or 4 yrs later, the message is "give him what he wants". Football is changing but careers remain short. If they're good enough to train and be selected for 1st team squads then £52k is laughable

Can't believe there are people who actually disagree with this. If you're leaving a club like Liverpool at 17 because £52,000 a year, which is more than many will earn in their lives, isn't enough for you, you're not the kind of player I'd want at the club in the first place.

Villa couldn't stay within psr if they bought him so the deal was structured in their favour to enable them to sign a player they couldnt afford. They backtracked. Others will think twice dealing with them

@BelieveInKlopp Deal structured this way to benefit Villa re PSR/FFP...they then decide not to play him to avoid buying him and ask Liverpool to renegotiate. Other clubs will think twice about dealing with them in the future.

If Villa will give him a chance to play he will stay. Villa asked Liverpool to remove the 35m clause they have to play if he plays 10 games and liverpool said no. Villa would gladly buy him if not restricted by PSR
