@commons96055467 Get onto your congressman and stop the cult like support of everything Trump does. Impeach him then spend next 10 years with a steady, intelligent president + try and rebuild relationships with rest of free world. Since hes now aligning with Putin- move fast. Its almost too late

@HanShawnity Becuase they have NO WEAPONS. the only ones with arms inc machine guns are the regimes soldiers patrolling the streets. Plus there are no comms...no internet etc for the people. Last uprising they could communicare and organise. Thats why the regime blocked the internet .

I'm trying to understand something about the Iranian people. Just a few months ago you were slaughtered by the thousands for protesting and demanding your freedom. You begged for help. Help came. The US and Israel have been bombing Iranian regime targets mercilessly for weeks now. Why aren't you rising up? You won't get this opportunity again. It's now or never. I'm not here to judge. I understand the regime consists of savages who wouldn't hesitate to murder thousands more. But they're killing you anyway, and if you really want your freedom like you say you do, now's the time. Your future is up to you. You can't expect other people to do it for you.

@MarcNixon24 Exactly the opposite! They need net zero to stop the country being decimated economically by oil/wars/USA. Thats precisely why countries want to break their dependence on foreign oil

AUSTRALIA is the WARNING 8 refineries now just 2 So they IMPORT fuel from Asia… Now supply tightens and they get CRUSHED. They shut down their own energy to reach Net Zero Goals Canada is heading down the SAME path. This is economic suicide.

@RachelReevesMP @patmcfaddenmp this is exactly what i see at DWP. The staff here take home less than most families on benefits. Its a scandal that Gov are blind to.

@mindofprospect You are so right. I work with them and am shocked at number families getting 3-4k tax free with lots other benefits like dental, glasses, prescriptions. They have NO interest in EVER working. Benefits pay too much to families and PIP is manipulated massively. Gov has NO IDEA

I’m sure you guys will call me a raging bastard but eventually we will have to admit that people on benefits already get enough in this country
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Exclusive from @MaxKendix Rachel Reeves is expected to limit an energy bill bailout to people on benefits after warning that giving support to every household because of the Iran war would be irresponsible and unaffordable The Times has been told that the planned support will be directed instead at about six million people who claim benefits such as universal credit and pension credit While Reeves has asked about a potential “income threshold” to support lower-earning households, officials have said they are unlikely to be able to develop the system in time. Treasury sources emphasised that several options were being looked at but that no decisions had been taken Officials have identified several barriers, including the fact that HM Revenue & Customs records the income of individuals, while an energy bailout would have to focus on households. A project to link up the information started in January and was due to take more than a year Reeves will therefore have little choice but to give support to people claiming benefits, using the warm home discount, which reduces electricity bills for poorer households by £150, as the model for the scheme “The methods of targeting are imperfect,” one government source said. But another said there was “a lot of defeatism” about what systems could realistically be introduced in time. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

@RachelReevesMP @RupertLowe10 @Nigel_Farage with many benefit families I see now taking home in excess of £3-4k tax free- you decide to give them the fuel discount! Will SOMEONE ask DWP how many households take home more than 3k in total benefits( some over 5k!). Gov have NO IDEA

@wesstreeting the NHS pension is most generous in world- used to be because pay was less than private sector. Now their salaries/pension are higher than private sector. No other workers have wage restoration + thousands of students have massive debt.Doctors are NOT a special case

I don’t know why anyone bothers to go to work nowadays as Rachel Reeves says only people on benefits will get help with their energy bills & middle income people will get nothing. It’s really getting to the stage that benefit claimants get more than working people which is just so wrong.

Most of you will hate me saying this, but I will say it anyway. The Democrats are in complete disarray and have no coherent message. No real solutions. Just anti-Trump rhetoric on a loop. And listen — I understand the anti-Trump sentiment. I share a lot of it. But that is not a governing platform. That is not a vision for the country. And it is not going to win elections. Talk to your constituents about affordability. About raising living standards. About the wealth gap that is tearing this country apart at the seams. Here’s the hard truth: If we don’t fix the wealth gap through traditional American capitalism, we will have a populist leader on the left or a populist leader on the right in perpetuity. And that is genuinely dangerous for the country. Trump looks imperious right now. Looks invincible. I understand why people are scared. But he’s got 36 months. He can do a lot of damage in 36 months. I won’t minimize that. But it is 36 months. The question is whether the opposition uses that time to build something real or spends it screaming into the void.
