This week, National has made a complaint to TVNZ about the conduct of its staff.
TVNZ staff:
• followed National Whip Stuart Smith into his corridor, an area where media interviews are not allowed without express permission;
• aggressively banged on his door for several minutes, refusing to accept Mr Smith declining to add further to a statement he had already made, and;
• pressured him about how he would be portrayed on Breakfast the following morning if he did not come out to talk to TVNZ.
This behaviour is unacceptable and a clear breach of Parliament’s rules. We respect the role of media, but there are standards, and those standards matter.
New Zealanders want a fair, balanced and accurate media reporting on the issues that matter to them – not a media-driven soap opera.

Four years ago in 2022, a full year before the last election, we ruled out working with the Labour Party. We did that because the left are full of woke self confessed communists who would turn our country into a basket case. Nothing has changed. In fact they are even worse. No, we won’t do a deal with Labour or their Marxist and separatist mates. It is astounding the amount of time this has been spent living rent free in some people’s heads - including media who keep asking the same stupid question that I have already answered multiple times. Anyone who says anything otherwise is ‘mischief making’ and ‘scaremongering’ who need to start focussing on things that kiwis care about most instead of personal petty rekons.

During question time in the House today, Chris Hipkins had a go at Nicola Willis: “I think she might be having a few issues — she may need some medical help.”
Today’s remarks, which Willis found offensive, follow the Charlotte Bellis saga, the two Northland women saga, - and allegations from his ex-wife (which Hipkins denies).
It’s now fair to ask: Does Chris Hipkins have a problem with women?

I watched the TV3 news iv with Peters. He criticised the state of the economy without any hint of irony of the fact he was deputy PM for 18 months and still in cabinet. The man has no shame. Once a con always a con as Bloomberg said of Trump! @rnz_news
