I went to the bank earlier this year to get my ATM card. A woman stormed the bank visibly angry, anxious, furious and ready to tear down every pillar and anyone that stands in her way. The securities couldn't contain her. She kept shouting "Fidelity Bank stole my money. How can a whole N700k be debited at once in business account when I've not initiated any transfer and my ATM isn't stolen." Whole bank went silent. Even the queue forgot what they came for. Manager logged into her account, checks calmly, then asks “Madam… did you collect COVID-19 loan in 2020?” Jitters 😭 she started brainstorming. Her fury left her, her grimaced face turned to pity. She started calculating her past like WAEC result. After small silence… she whispered "yes" That ₦700k? CBN came to collect their money with full chest. Well she left the bank in tears. According to her, that was a money her client paid her to supply good. This is exactly how some people will shout first and remember later when that NELFUND loan starts collecting itself.

I saved for 8 months to buy myself a birthday gift… something I’ve always wanted for myself. The week before my birthday my mother called, there was a family emergency… I sent 90% of the money. The emergency was apparently my cousin's introduction ceremony 🙂 Nobody told/invited me cos they “know I’ll be busy with work”…🙂 My cousin's introduction was beautiful sha, I saw the pictures on WhatsApp.🙂

Something crazy happened, and I don’t understand how some people think. Last year, I was added to a friend’s marriage planning committee on WhatsApp. I donated privately, but the chairman chose to share the transfer receipt in the group chat. They made a list of everyone who paid and the amount in the group. This year, I suddenly saw myself in another marriage planning committee group. I was wondering how I got there, only for one man to explain that he was in that my friend’s group and saw my donation, which is why he added me to his own marriage group. But I’m not your friend. He said he knows, but I can give him even if it’s 50% of what I donated to that friend, and he will appreciate it. Some people are just outrightly stup1d.
