@Masi_Time @JordiCarSeries i disagree, there has been SO much criticism behind the scenes since testing, with expected adjustments already being made for post japan plus the extensive april break which definitely have adjustments made, and this is just for the short term, imo long term will fix the issues

Finally sat down to watch the Chinese GP. Call me woke but having cars being able to follow each other and battle for several laps is great for the series. Im sure the battery stuff will be tweaked in the near future and we will see โ€œrealโ€ overtaking again.

To think that late 2024 wasn't even that long ago. Back then siding with the FIA would have gotten you fascist shouts and not even a full 24 months later the narrative has been flipped because twitter liberals fell for their greenwashing tactic

The way some people are reacting to F1 this year youโ€™d think that we havenโ€™t had hybrid cars for the last 12 years or even KERS 5 years before that. Harvesting energy is nothing new, except even when both cars harvest now they can still race instead of being stuck behind

My big fear is that teams will figure out the most optimal way of deploying the battery charge and things will processional out, and qualifying will remain completely unspectacular, but I'm just trying to enjoy the good races as they come.

I have a genuine question. Without engine clipping being a thing (I believe they can fix it), what stops these regs from being the second best set of regs ever? Cars are slimmer, you can overtake in different corners, overtaking isnโ€™t a given, but itโ€™s possible. Just want to hear some thoughts.

@Formula1Wimbo @blueslide7777 But when has F1 ever been like that? Winning is often the diff btwn a fortuitous yellow or safety allowing for a cheap pit. Rarely does the car out in front, in clean air, get tracked down.

It's as if F1 does the opposite of what the core fans want. We don't like sprints, they want to do more. We don't like batteries, they do more. We don't like Street tracks, they plan more. We like classic tracks, they rotate them. #f1

@lace_strol i genuinely dont see the hate being this nessescary. sure the battery managment is gimmicky it ruins qualifying but this is the first year of the regs. id sacrifice qualifying being less spectacular if it means better racing

I totally get that commentators/pundits are at the behest of FOM to be positive about the new regs, I really do. โ€ฆbut we might need to find a bit of balance and honesty. Thereโ€™s no way that they all wholeheartedly and unanimously agree that everything is great. Some of them may, some wonโ€™t. Itโ€™s actually those debates that I think viewers would enjoy more. Differing opinions make better telly and people arenโ€™t silly.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Andrew Benson: "It's going to make for a great highlights reel on Titok [...] But some corners that have defined greatness in Formula 1 drivers - the Esses in Suzuka, turns 9 and 10 in Melbourne, Pouhon in Spa - these have gone from corners that challenge a driver's ability and bravery levels to places where you recover energy. And that, on a fundamental philosophical level, is wrong." [Chequered Flag] #F1
