Since my parents were wealthy and I was an experienced Cockswain on a HS rowing team I expected entry at Yale but instead I became the third member of my family to be denied entry even after offering thousands to Yale’s endowment. So I started attending the graduating ceremonies since 1989. Seeing Obama and Conan sitting together this year only added to my frustration. Hopefully my grandson gets in.
