@gregpuck @coluccid2 I really don’t have a problem with McDonough but the rest are awful except Wischusen. Maybe I am biased but Brendan Burke should be the lead play by play guy for TNT. I have the pleasure of hearing him for the Isles. His timing on calls is perfect.

@Masstom @coluccid2 I agree TNT is better overall, but I don't know what your problem with McDonough is. He is a pro and can do virtually any sport. Sean and Ray are the only decent ESPN team!

Long Island is basically Islanders. I would say 2/3’s to 3/4’s Isles. Go into NYC it’s 98% Rangers. Add Westchester it’s 99.9% If you asked 8 year old me in 1970 it was 70% a Mets town. Today it’s reversed. Football is 60-40 Giants fans hold the majority. I think these are fair numbers

@rybrz These uniforms were always beautiful, they bailed on it and then you have the Kraken that came out and basically replicated it and made it modern and beautiful. Instead, they went back to their ugly, original uniform that no one outside of Long Island will ever buy.

All this discourse around the fisherman logo has me thinking: If the Isles were in a better place franchise-wise at the time, would it have been much better received? Do you hate it because it represents a dark period in our team history? Or do you just not think it looks good?

Massapequa High School has carried a chief as its mascot for generations. Woke Kathy Hochul tried to ban it and even threatened to pull their school funding. When I am Governor, nobody will ever have the power to erase your community's history. I will stand with communities like Massapequa, not against them. Once a Chief, always a Chief.
