@hellrnaster Why design a trashcan with foot pedal/activation that looks identical to one that you'd push or activate with your hand? If they wanted foot activated they could have modeled it after one you'd find in your kitchen with a foot pedal. This is poor human factors engineering.

Theres a very obvious reason why those movies don't do well. They are made for specific kinds of people and it's completely fine to not want to watch them. Personally i don't really watch anything that's live action unless its a cbm or something i already know of.

It's so fascinating how Peter Jackson pulled the George Lucas "beloved and groundbreaking genre trilogy followed by a visually hideous, technologically overreaching prequel trilogy, then basically retire" arc in about a third of the time.

And the first 4K GoPros didn't come out until a year after Desolation of Smaug, so they used 1080p GoPro footage with 8-bit color recorded at 45 Mbps with H.264 encoding, overzealous digital sharpening, visible compression artifacts, and no motion blur since GoPros didn't have ND filters back then so everything shot in daylight was at high shutter speeds.
