It's official! @FAIRImmigration has merged with its supporting organization, @IRLILaw. This move enhances FAIR's capacity to advance responsible immigration policies through our four program pillars of Litigation, Legislation, Investigations, and Education. As part of this transition, I am now serving as Director of Investigations at FAIR. I am excited to continue working on uncovering government malfeasance, promoting enforcement of our immigration laws, and safeguarding American interests amid ongoing challenges like border security and economic impacts from mass migration. Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Trump v. Barbara, a case that will decide the future of American sovereignty. FAIR commends the Solicitor General’s forceful argument that U.S. citizenship is a sacred covenant reserved for those who owe their primary and exclusive allegiance to the United States.

Yesterday’s oral arguments drove this point home—including Solicitor General Sauer’s warning that “8 billion people are one plane ride away” from securing a U.S. citizen child, and Chief Justice Roberts’ reply: “It’s a new world. @POTUS is signing an Executive Order today directing @DHSgov to create verified U.S. citizen voter lists for each state, restricting USPS from sending absentee ballots except to those approved lists, and requiring secure, trackable envelopes. This Order effectively addresses the vulnerabilities @FAIRImmigration's recent voter fraud investigation exposed. Unrestricted mail-in voting has already compromised election integrity nationwide. Ross was publicly identified early in the Renee Good case. His identity was important in the broader context because he had been involved in a prior car-dragging incident during a June 2025 arrest. Unlike Ross, the agents in the Alex Pretti case (Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Gutierrez) had no known prior incidents and were not named publicly until about a week later. The ICE agent in the Sosa-Celis case remains unidentified.

This would include requiring financial institutions to verify U.S. citizenship or lawful immigration status for all bank accounts, prohibiting the acceptance of unreliable foreign identification documents, and mandating the auditing and closure of accounts held by illegal aliens. /8

We likewise asked for records on inter-agency coordination around @realDonaldTrump's Executive Order 14159 (which directs stronger enforcement of lawful presence requirements across the financial system), and FinCEN's November 2025 Alert (which flags suspicious remittances tied to individuals lacking lawful status). /6

Our requests seek communications, policy guidance, examination reports, enforcement actions, and data on the use of foreign passports, Matrícula Consular cards, and ITIN-only accounts to operate within the banking system. The requests also seek information quantifying bank failures to verify lawful presence under Customer Identification Program (CIP) / Know Your Customer (KYC) rules. /5

Participation in the American banking system is a privilege that should be reserved for citizens and legal immigrants. Financial institutions, however, routinely allow illegal aliens to open bank accounts with foreign documentation, and without verifying their citizenship status. /2

To grasp the scope of the problem, we have filed targeted FOIA requests with the key federal agencies responsible for banking oversight and immigration enforcement—including @CFPB, @FDICgov, @federalreserve, @FinCENnews, @ICEgov, @IRSnews, @TheNCUA, @USOCC, and @USTreasury. /4

These lax verification standards, coupled with ineffective oversight, have allowed a shadow population to thrive within the banking system. As a result, the system is exposed to vulnerabilities such as fraud, money laundering, and remittance abuse. /3
