A couple of years ago I spoke to a member of the panel that awarded me my first research grant on quantum computers (1985). He said it was a close-run thing. I asked if I'd have got it under today's criteria. He said: no chance; basically I could tick none of the boxes.

Together with Lei Xiao and Prof. Peng Xue, our group shows an experiment where both appear! In case you believe it to be impossible, the clue is in the fact that contexts from KCBS are clearly valid measurements to show generalised Bell nonlocality. #WorldQuantumDay #CHSH #KCBS

CHSH is the best known Bell-Inequality. KCBS is the best known Non-contextuality inequality. Some people believe they are monogamous, in the sense that an experiment violating one could not violate the other. arxiv.org/abs/2204.05385

The first PhD title from our group was awarded today to Roberto Baldijão for his works on @Quantum Darwinism and Contextuality. Congratulations, @RBaldijao! As already said, you have fixed a very good standard to the forthcoming students!
