A little about me. My name is Mathew. I'm a 40 year old Colorado native, transplanted 18 years ago to Arizona. I've been married 15 years to @Shorteesdl and we have 3 amazing children together. I'm a landscaper but I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. I'm a Trump supporting patriot and I love my country. I came on here originally to share/get news, then to awaken people, then it eventually became a sort of journal until I came back 4 months ago. Now I stay because of the awesome people and the community I've surrounded myself with. My account is pretty random but I now try to connect, inspire and educate people and I hope I've done so for at least some of you. 👊🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

@endlessdaytime @ImTrumpsLover I'm the same way lol I've always loved using tin snips. Gonna sawzall most of it though. The panels are just screwed in so I'll take those out of the chunk I'll cut and it should slide right out. Definitely got some thick gloves I've been sliced before and it wasn't fun.

@MathewLight17 @ImTrumpsLover Ooooh I love working on awnings 😂💪 Something about aluminum. And snips is the coolest easiest work … you’ll get it, wear gloves.

Can any roofers on here tell me if this can be repaired without redoing the entire roof? And if so how much do you think it would cost?

@JennyTheCat3000 It's ok from what I've gathered it shouldn't be too hard. Most the shingles are still here scattered around but I didn't think of craigslist thanks 😊

@MathewLight17 Depending on your state my mom's husband could fix it or my husband could fix it or you could try watching YouTube videos to fix it. Looks rough. Craigslist sometimes offers free building materials which could help if anything good is available in your area.

@MathewLight17 You've gotten good advice so far. The one thing I would add is take one of the old shingles with you when you go buy more. That way you can get a close match on color, but get the same size shingles as well so they align with the exist shingles.

@Tamara7063 That is odd. We didn't even really have a winter this last year. It was down in the 20s for about a week then back up to 80's the rest of the time. Never been like that in the 20 years I've been here.

@MathewLight17 Definitely weird - in the NE here & it’s been one of the most rainy seasons we’ve had in years & our winter was long too so 🤷‍♀️meanwhile there are very dry areas that need the rain so whatever is happening is weird.

@TStruckAZ Holy Cow! I'm guessing you're up in the Phoenix area? I don't know how you all do it lol.

@MathewLight17 It’s definitely hotter than last year, we were at 115 today. I only spend a few hours outside in the morning doing chores, I can’t imagine working outside all day, hopefully it will cool down sooner than later.

@MikeHunt1945811 honestly I'm not too concerned unless it's a functionality issue. We plan to quick sell soon which is why I was hoping it'd be cheap and easy.

@MathewLight17 Not a roofer, but I’m sure it can, the biggest issue is going to be able to find those exact shingles based on how old they are

Not a roofer but ive done my own roofing before. Depending on how old these shingles are the hardest part might be finding a match other than that it's pretty straight forward remove the bad ones and staple new ones under the good ones. Measure out the length and width of the damaged area to get your sqft so you will know how many bundles to get

@endlessdaytime @ImTrumpsLover awesome thanks. It just happened the other night and it rained for a while after but it's been in the 100's and dry the last 2 days.

@ImTrumpsLover @MathewLight17 He’s right, and check if it’s soft , but like the flaps come up , you nail down underneath, hidden, but if the wood had leaks or got rotted , your doing more work replacing the plywood all up in the attic.

@Tamara7063 It seems to be crazier than usual this year all over the place. They say super el Ninõ but I dunno...I think they broke the jet stream.

@MathewLight17 I hear you - normally it’s not an issue but we’ve had it nearly daily for a full month & it pours!

@ImTrumpsLover I was hoping it'd be pretty simple.

@MathewLight17 Its just take out the bad ones and staple flap under the next flap and work your way down.

@ImTrumpsLover There's no attic, it's a mobile home but there doesn't seem to be any.

@MathewLight17 You need to go up in the attic and see if there are any leaks, you need to know so a roofer doesn't come along and sell u was u dont need. It looks repairable, go to tube, looks easy. Ck the leaks first!!!!

@cantakethetruth fall here is the best. Winters are pretty mild too. Anything but summer lol.
