@Haggis_UK Trouble is that in general the state sector just isn’t fantastic. Look at sport, music and academic high flyers. There is no real support across any of these areas. Unfortunately policy on education is always about a culture war.

@mrchadburn School now is filled with endless compassion and exceptions and special circumstances, 30 children in a class not being held to account for their academic performance. It’s certainly different.

At this time we were going through the last few months of my dad's illness & school were blissfully unaware _ because you just didn't let them know then. Now, thankfully, it is different & there's much more communication, support & compassion for students in our schools. 2/3

Looking back at my old school reports - this one from Y11 was interesting. Who'd have thought that I'd go on to get a 1st class degree in maths & physics & teach mathematics & further mathematics. It also shows how different school was then to now. 1/3

It wasn’t a “blob” who made Suella Braverman break the speed limit. It wasn’t a “blob” that made Boris break his own lock-down rules. Everyone else in this country has to accept the consequences of their actions. And if the Tory party doesn’t wake up to that, it’s finished.

I'm deeply concerned that people have been arrested while just preparing to peacefully express their support for a Republic, a view held by 25% of the public. This must stop. It's a basic democratic principle that people have the right to peacefully express their opinions.
