@NateSilver538 Honestly yes. I’ve met a few through work and they’re typically smart, earnest, hard working people trying to do something really difficult.

@NateSilver538 I’m typically opposed to term limits because it means that lobbyists are more experienced and knowledgeable than lawmakers. For Supreme Court justices it might be OK. Certainly better than age limits which will just mean justices straight out of law school

Voters actually have good instincts about what reforms to American democracy would be good ideas, and maybe we should listen to them.

I'm actually very Becerra-skeptical since he seems like a status quo guy in a state that needs reform, but every time I read these leftist takes about how he's in the pocket of Big Oil I like him more.

@ben_bowman_ My current thinking is that all electronic aids to reffing need to be as good as goal line technology. Fast, accurate, reliable. If automatic offsides is that good, use it. VAR is none of those and isn’t ever going to be in its current form.
