Yes, the PM is willing to throw Alberta a pipeline, while he introduces censorship, erases Christianity from the nation, and continues the degradation of this nation through allowing every form of immorality. If you are satisfied with a pipeline, that is sad.

You want to start listing the things Albertans didn't vote for @MarkJCarney? That list (and its a long one over succesive elections) is largely what forced 700k Albertans to ask for a vote on this very issue. Plus, I dont remember you winning a majority in the last election?
YEGWAVE@yegwave

PM Mark Carney says Albertans did not vote for a separatist agenda in the last provincial election, arguing it was not part of the governing party’s platform and warning the issue creates economic uncertainty.

@zenbenda @CTVNews Canada is so much more than a petro-state. Hewers of wood and drawers of water. Alberta smashed its annual oil production record in 2025. Where is the trickle down? The massive employment uptick? The industry has changed. You folks are targeting your anger in the wrong direction

@MatlenStarsley @CTVNews We couldn't disagree more...that's the same stuff that got us into trouble. Imagine if our leaders had thought ahead! Imagine if we had turned Canada into a global oil superpower...we would now be paying Canadians monthly $$$ divs.

@zenbenda @CTVNews Resource extraction used to be labour intensive. It just isn't anymore. Increased resource extraction will bring some relief but it is not a panacea. We need people who can be innovative, approach issues in new and novel ways. Research and development, education, new approaches.

@MatlenStarsley @CTVNews Yes there not coming back...that however doesn't mean we just give in to some globalist cause. Were a resource rich nation. I simply want young Canadians to have the same chances I was given. We owe this generation at least that much!

Actually, Canadians have a mistaken belief that the job of an American Ambassador to Canada is to reflect Canadian views to the US as opposed to reflect American views to Canada. OTOH they think the job of the CanDian ambassador to the US is to reflect Canadian views to the US.🤷🏽‍♂️
Gandalv@Microinteracti1

Pete Hoekstra is the United States Ambassador to Canada. A man appointed specifically to understand Canada. Whose entire job, when distilled to its essence, is to comprehend why Canadians feel the way they do about the country directly to their south – the country that just slapped tariffs on their exports, questioned their sovereignty, and suggested they might want to consider becoming the 51st state. And when a journalist asks him, with admirable patience, whether he understands where that frustration is coming from, he doesn’t say “it’s complicated.” He doesn’t say “we have work to do.” He says, with the serene confidence of a man who has never once been troubled by self-awareness: “Absolutely, no.” Absolutely. No. Not just no. He reached into the English language and found the one adverb that makes the answer worse. This is a diplomat. This is America’s official representative to a nation of 40 million people who are currently being economically strong-armed by his boss. His job – his only job – is to understand Canadians. And he has looked that job squarely in the face and said: not today. You genuinely could not find a better summary of current American foreign policy if you wrote it yourself.

@CTVNews Thank God! Now hopefully we can go back to being the Country that gave me opportunities in the 80's. Young Canadians deserve good paying jobs and then homes to raise families. Time to drill again, time for mining again, time for forestry again! Lets make Canada great again!

We are the real Canada. We used to be proud of our identity on the international stage. Now it doesn't mean anything. We can reclaim that identity in Alberta.

I want to be VERY clear about something: Carney was INSTALLED as our PM. The LPC did backflips to DQ every legitimate leadership candidate, even tossed out a popular MP. The media then worked overtime to deflate Poilevere's massive lead in the polls. Nothing was legitimate.

IMO golf is the greatest sport in the world bc you can consistently play like ass but then you hit one amazing shot and it makes you delusional. It is probably the only outdoor sport where an amateur can feel like this. Hit a 7 iron from 158 today. With slope it was 165. Wind slightly behind me. There was a large bunker in front of the hole which was in a back right pin location. Told my self to aim for middle of green and hope for a baby cut like I’ve been hitting consistently with my mid to long irons. Hit a soaring shot with about 10 feet of cut. Landed pin high 15 feet left of the flag with right to left spin. Left myself 8 feet for birdie. Thought to myself, I should be able to do this every time. This game is easy (DELUSIONAL). Of course I missed the birdie putt and immediately snapped back to reality…

Here are my reasons for Alberta Independence: Freedom of speech Right to carry arms Immigration control Gasoline ~$0.75/ltr No more equalization payments, saving us >$50 billion/year No wealth destroying Net-Zero policies and federal regulations Federal income tax becomes a flat 10% income tax rate No carbon tax No capital gains tax No tax on home equity No GST Access to USD gives us increase in purchasing power by 30% Our resources will no longer be politically landlocked Better pension plan Better health care based on public/private access More freedom for my children and grand children Canada Parks will become Alberta Parks and will be much better managed Cheaper flights/phone/internet services A Constitutional Republic is superior to the archaic Parliamentary government. Alberta will be booming!

How is it possible that this swing can shoot around even par on a golf course I've never played or even seen before? Here's just a few god awful looking swings of mine due to the fact my back was in pain every shot... (lower back seized up) You know what I learned from playing golf crippled... I learned that you don't actually need to do much to play good golf & hit the golf ball where you want I was swinging the club no faster than 95mph (If I was lucky), I did however hit it pretty damn straight most of the time, got up & down a lot, & holed a few putts I wasn't trying to stop early extension. I wasn't trying to "drop it in the slot". I wasn't trying to "get open at impact (I couldn't). All I tried to do was swing my arms & control where the face was at impact I played better golf than 99% of golfers on the planet & I had no speed + a crippled lower back I think we need to ask ourselves what is truely required to play good golf. It actually doesn't take that much...

@MatlenStarsley @CreekInCAN @MarkJCarney @liberal_party You might but, the rest sure don't. Never met a liberal with a coherent answer or explanation. Just insults on top of insults. A undefendable position of failure after failure after failure. Brings delusions of success lying to everyone and yourself.

Farewell, Stephen Colbert. Very sharp and funny when playing characters on Daily Show and Colbert Report. Not so sharp or funny when he played himself on Late Show, and very dull/predictable after he caught TDS. Thought his finale was lame & self-indulgent.
