It has been an honour for me to join other judges convened by the Uganda Poetry Society @uganda69597 to read and assess submissions of poems for the Annual Dr. Ivan Edwards Poetry Awards. It was interesting to agree on a short list out of many amazing poems.
Yesterday, we decided on a winner for each of the two categories of “18+” and “under 18”.
The award ceremony is scheduled for 04:00PM to 10:00PM tomorrow, Saturday 28th March 2026 at the Backyard Bistro, Luthuli Avenue, Bugolobi - Kampala. Many thanks to @MatogoPhilip Philip Matogo for coordinating this competition.
