@financialissues Sure miss hearing his voice, but also, I'm so thankful to everyone who has been filling his shoes. FISM could have easily folded after his passing, but y'all have been so faithful to continue on with his vision.

As we mark the fourth anniversary of Dan Celia’s homegoing today, we pause to remember and give thanks for the life and legacy of our founder. Dan was a man who truly sought to live “as a son of Issachar,” with an understanding of the times and a steadfast commitment to serving the Lord through biblical stewardship. Anyone who knew Dan understood his deep love for the Lord, his devotion to his wife and family, and his unwavering passion for this ministry. Through his vision, faith, and determination, God established Financial Issues Stewardship Ministries on a strong foundation, one that continues to guide and equip believers to be wise and faithful stewards. While his homegoing left a profound void, his legacy lives on through the work of this ministry and the community of partners who continue to carry that mission forward each day. We are grateful for the example he set and the countless lives impacted through his faithful obedience to God’s calling. Thank you for continuing to stand with us as partners in the mission Dan was so passionate about. Together, we will continue to build on the foundation he helped establish, all for the glory of God.

My overall take is that everyone screwed up. I focus on three things. 1. Although it was legal, I think it was stunningly bad judgement to go to a super overheated conflict zone with a gun. My training and experience drive me to avoid such places. 2. I don’t know what actually happened to cause him to be shot. I think more info will come out, but at this time we are getting AI images and other nonsense. I’m waiting to form an opinion. 3. The messaging from Administration people is terrible, saying carrying a gun and two magazines means he was there to murder officers. The “He had it coming because he was wearing a gun” position stands in conflict with the Second Amendment. I think smarter people in the Administration are trying to claw back those comments, but it does reveal how little they know about legal concealed carry and the depth of their contempt for self reliance.

Sigh. As I watch some of the total fools in the political universe spouting nonsense, I remember fondly an old saying and wishing some of them would "Take a long walk off a short pier." ;)

@Guntalk I believe he bought and trained on his own time with a Taurus 92 since he couldn't afford the Beretta. A great example of the value of training and having no excuses.

Pistol versus rifle. Andy Brown used his Beretta 92F pistol to stop a mass murderer who had a rifle. Andy shot him at 72 yards! amazon.com/Warnings-Unhee…

@DeeW31_ @TheresaMAMAT @SpaceX @Starlink It was pretty neat! I was on the road, unfortunately, and could only see it every now and then between the trees and hills. I've always wanted to see it. That was my 1st time.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." –Ephesians 6:12 One of the great lies of modernity is that the supernatural world is make-believe. Both the Scriptures and the testimony of history, along with simple common sense, tell us that this is simply not true. Believer, you were born into a violent, ferocious, and very real battle in the spiritual realm between good and evil. It is a grace of God that we see evidence of the unseen world in the seen world, because this further affirms the truth of Scripture. At this moment, there are hordes of demonic forces seeking to steal your joy and destroy the image of God in you. But they will fail. Why? Because we serve the victorious, conquering King Jesus. So, join the fight and be confident in the victory that is yours in Christ.

“The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” – Genesis 2:12 Right after God created Adam, He gave him a task: Do work. Work the garden, keep it, tend to it, and take dominion over it. Work is good. In fact, theologians call it “prelapsarian”—meaning pre-fall. It predates the entrance of sin into the world. When sin came, work became toilsome and tiring, but it never lost its God-ordained goodness. So let us never grow weary in working hard for the Lord, knowing that no matter how good or bad our earthly masters may be, we serve a heavenly Master.

We are inundated with news regarding the economy, markets, U.S. politics, and foreign affairs. Rather than focusing on those things this week, we want to pause and reflect on the greatest news ever: that Jesus has conquered sin and death and stands victorious as our risen Savior. What an extraordinary truth to cling to in a world so often overcome by darkness, bitterness, and fear. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event to be remembered—it is a present reality that informs our daily lives and gives us hope for the future. Throughout Jesus’s last week on earth, we see him teaching his disciples of the things that are to come, not just his imminent death and resurrection, but how He will come again and rule over a new heaven and a new earth. It is easy to feel weighed down by the concerns of this world, yet the empty grave points us to a future where these “pressing matters” are no longer to be remembered. Our time on earth is important, but it is also a vapor compared to an eternity in Heaven or Hell. He has blessed us with so many good gifts, but He also left us with a commission. It’s why we talk so much about stewardship. We are naturally short-sighted and caught up in what we can physically see, touch, and feel. Easter reminds us that our hope is not in riches, governments, or earthly security. Our hope is anchored in a risen King. And that hope compels us to live boldly, to give generously, and to shine the light of Christ in every area of our lives. In addition to stewarding our finances and resources, it is our expressed responsibility to steward the gospel. Many know the story of Easter without actually knowing the life-changing power that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus. Because Jesus lives, we too shall live. The grip of the grave is broken. The weight of sin has been lifted. And now, through faith in Christ, we can walk in the freedom of resurrection life. I pray that this truth will be renewed in each of us, that we will seek to share this truth with those around us, and that we will see revival sweep across our nation. During this resurrection season, take time to reflect. Rejoice in the hope of the empty grave. Rest in the unshakable truth that Jesus is alive—and because He lives, we have nothing to fear. And take time to share this hope with your loved ones. From all of us at FISM, may your Easter be filled with peace, joy, and the confident assurance that the best news the world has ever heard is still true: He is risen. He is risen indeed. “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” –Luke 24:5-6

Earn it? Taxed. Spend it? Taxed. Save it? Taxed. Invest it? Taxed. Build it? Taxed. Sell it? Taxed. Live in it? Taxed. Drive it? Taxed. Eat it? Taxed. Drink it? Taxed. Smoke it? Taxed. Give it away? Taxed. Die? Still taxed. And what do they do with it? Waste it. This has to stop - our money & our future are being taxed into oblivion.
