Earlier this year I drove the Leapmotor C10. It isn’t very good. A few months later I bumped into a Chinese journalist and we talked about its flaws, etc. I suggested they’d update it in a generation to fix the issues. He disagreed, saying it’d be much sooner. Omoda’s done…

Vauxhall & Zoopla are supporting the UK's switch to electric - launching new tools to help buyers & renters find nearby on-street chargers and filter homes with EV charging. 40% of UK drivers say charger access will influence their next move. Details: bit.ly/3J8GcJT

@MartinWard_Cars @SteveFowler The keycard is more of - secondary feature. The main method is to have the App on your phone and then it is fully keyless and has more functionality. Should all be in booking email. Shout on Monday if you’d like us to run through it.

@SteveFowler I’ve got a LeapMotor C10 Press Test car at the moment, and it’s ok. Got a few quirky features: like opening it by putting ‘credit card key’ against drivers door mirror- can’t open it from a distance. Got Max 239 miles range- best I’ve got. Don’t like the door handles..ouch..!!!!

👀Gobsmacked! The Leapmotor C10 is only a 6/10 car for me, but it becomes all the more attractive at just £128 a month over two years with £1536 down (still the equivalent of £192 a month including deposit). That's for a family-sized 263-mile range EV. leasing.com/main-dealers/l…

Does anyone here have the electric Astra? Is it any good? My sister-in-law is thinking about getting an EV and lease prices seem great on Vauxhalls. £169.88 a month! (Only £10 more than petrol).

The way we organise time is strange. 365 days in a year, 12 months (of 31, 30, 28, or sometimes 29 days), 52 weeks, 7 days in a week, 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, and 60 seconds in a minute. How did this happen?! The story begins with an Ancient Egyptian sundial...

@g__j Most EVs do upto 11kW AC so maybe c.15miles in 15mins? Perhaps good as backup in rural areas. Prefer to see mass rollout of >100kW DC hubs, at destinations along main routes and for as many petrol stations as possible to have 2-6 50kW+ chargers.

Would it be good if all petrol stations had to have a 22KW+ EV charger to banish all range anxiety? Policy is all mway service areas have charging, and in other places chargers every 20 miles, but navigation errors & other surprises mean we all sometimes need an emergency fill

@g__j It's taken a while & I've been saying this for sometime now when speaking @Everyth1ngElec on this subject, but finally seeing the end game EV charging solution. @centreparcs Elevedon Forest. 100 X 7kW chargers, timed for overnight charging & it's all anyone needs. The future, now

Fun day hooning about the Cotswolds. This relatively boggo Cooper E is brilliant fun and £7k(!) less than the electric Corsa I drove up in. Also, nobody gets butthurt if you overtake them in a bright yellow Mini.

Why are cities dominated by highways and cars? It's partly because of one of the most influential people you've never heard of: Norman Bel Geddes. In 1939 he created "Futurama", a huge exhibition that tried to predict the future — and ended up changing the world...
