Great to visit @YorkRegPD Auxiliary and volunteer programmes yesterday. A lot of commitment to developing what volunteers can contribute to policing reflecting an agency with a community-oriented ethos. @IPSCJ @MattCallender1

I’ll be joining @IPSCJ on a 6 month 2 day per week secondment to support their work on public health approaches to public safety, crime, and justice. Reach out if you have initiatives that require evaluation or the need for research to figure out what the next steps should be.

Thank you to all the amazing attendees at our international roundtable on police volunteering - 8 countries represented… and definitely the first step to creating an international academic & practice network for volunteer police. #VLEOA @ascopolice Thanks to CGI for hosting!

Yesterday my father lost his long battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. Sometimes I’m asked why I became a scientist and what drives me… your looking at him in the post below, this man is the reason and my ongoing inspiration!

I am sad to say that my husband's dementia journey came to an end yesterday, peacefully with me by his side. He was an amazing man, loving husband, devoted Dad and doting Grandad. It has been an honour to share his life. RIP darling, your struggle is done.
