@TheDougFiles I actually liked season 3 but that finale was so bad (I HATED how Maeve’s arc ended) and them going all in on franchising it made me drop the show which looks to have been the right call.

Season 3 should be towards the bottom. That was the finale it became clear they lacked the commitment to fully follow through on any interesting set ups

@ThisguyHassan And for better or worse, the show also has to function as a sequel to the original cartoon and its version of the characters. I haven’t seen that show but I can’t imagine its version of Emma wasn’t much more than a straightforward villain.

I understand complaining about Emma's absence in X-Men 97 S1 just cuz you like her and wanna see her more but complaining cuz "you cant adapt E for Extinction without her" is weird cuz i'd agree if it went for a straight adaptation using Cassandra but thats not what happened

As much as I hate people trying to downplay or outright dismiss Miller's achievements and art, I think it's possible to go too far in the opposite direction in reclaiming him and we have to accept he's made either terrible or outright evil work that permanently damaged his legacy

@TheAlexSylvian No but Rachel Pollack made him getting an earned redemption a big part of her run. Even if you didn’t vibe with Morrison, I would recommend checking out her run which came right after but is more character focused.

When I grew up, I always think about this and I still do so here’s the thought in my head; In my 22 years of living in planet Earth, I have never seen a Calvin and Hobbes animated cartoon or live action movie in my life and I wonder why is that is the case?

The about face that people have done with her and Tucker Carlson is genuinely insane, but it definitely says a lot that people like them can spend their whole careers inciting hatred and then be lauded as great mavericks of morality when they get one thing right.
