@DwayneFuhlhage @MacMoore_KSHSAA I feel you on that. I've done my fair share of complaining. I will say, though, they've treated me MUCH better this school year compared to my first couple seasons.

@coachlaw71 @KSHSAA I agree. KSHSAA runs this meet as efficiently as any in the world of this size. Splitting it up creates more problems than it solves.

Unpopular Opinion There is no way financially @kshsaa should ever go away from the all class state track meet & Wichita should do everything in its power to keep it that way due to the financial impact. It is way more financially efficient for @KSHSAA to run the meet this way.

Never thought I would see the day when Andale was rooting for Bishop Miege. But a Miege comeback in the 4x4 relay knocked Louisburg down and allowed Andale to win the 4A boys team title by 0.5 points. Pandemonium on the infield with Andale going wild to celebrate Miege.

@sportsinkansas Someone could create a computer model that generates regionals. Take travel distance into account but put more emphasis on making as many events balanced as possible using marks from that point in the season.

Sometimes it can be more difficult to make it to state track in 3A and below than it is in 4A, 5A, 6A. Why? More teams - 16 per region in 3A, 2A, even more teams in 1A (30 in one regional), only four individuals/teams go per event. 4A, 5A, 6A regionals have just nine teams per region. For example: 6A/5A/4A regionals may only have four/five relay teams in it of the nine teams that are in (four spots go). Some 3A regionals had 13 teams in the relay field. 3A may be the toughest field to make it to state, 4A was likely the toughest before it went down to 36 total teams from 64. While some of the times certainly always better at the higher classes, the depth and parity is the difference in many cases in regionals. With that being said, you do find some 5A/6A regionals (a select few events) with some of the best in the state sitting home at 5th place regional finish but that's happening in every class. #sportsinkansas
