@jackunheard The quote is obvious the first four words. He then comments in relation to those four words. This pope as a person seems like he is a piece of shit, but this is really dishonest.
NEW: Outrage has broken out after Pope Leo appeared to quote Jesus using a passage that does not exist in the Bible.
“Jesus told us, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.’”
The first line echoes scripture.
The rest does not appear in any biblical passage.
The Pope is being accused of using a fabricated quote from Jesus to push a political message.
@KILLTOPARTY I had a version of this “issue” when I was addicted to opioids. I essentially had total control over when I finished. It’s kind of the only thing I miss about it now that I’m clean.
@pikareus@MattKicksBalls@IamJack272311@RealPostFolder Same.
Married 22 years. Still attracted to women. Still get approached.
So does she.
We both admit it. We both have a rule to never be alone with a member of the opposite sex.
She goes far out of her way to avoid even the appearance of what this post talks about
@dbrocle@FightWithMemes I see PA, NY & NJ drivers regularly living in NJ. CT, MD, and FL (surprisingly) aren’t rare to see. NY drivers are great in parking lots and traffic jams, awful on suburban roads. FL and PA should be banned from driving. NJ is a mixed bag, leaning toward better, objectively.
@AJButtofucco@Geniustechw I started watching between 6 & 7, so I finished the whole thing. They were VERY bad with gun stuff. 3 words: Uzi. With. Scope.
The only way I’d watch any TWD again would be a spinoff about Negan’s time between avenging his wife up until meeting Rick’s people. JDM is a treasure.
@SinGreywing@pikareus@IamJack272311@RealPostFolder And by the way, you don’t “know” that she’d turn down your most attractive man in the world scenario. You TRUST that she would.
And I’m sure there are plenty of guys with your level of confidence in the fidelity of your spouse who ended up broken by that “loyal” woman.
@MattKicksBalls@pikareus@IamJack272311@RealPostFolder Na...you see, I have complete trust in my wife and know for a fact that the most attractive man in the world could show up and offer her the most mind-blowing sex she's ever had and she would say, "No, I'm married." I would do the same. It's called a healthy relationship.
@SinGreywing@pikareus@IamJack272311@RealPostFolder Nothing you said conflicts with what I said.
Finding someone attractive and having a crush/feelings for them are two entirely different things.
Further, a crush on someone she’ll never meet is VERY different from a crush on someone she sees just as much as she sees you.
@idropFbombs This type of person has allowed a pop star/celebrity/actor/etc to occupy the space in their mind/soul/life that is normally reserved for a deity. Literally. Look at her and think about how a true believer would react to seeing Jesus in the flesh.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ If they can afford it, that’s their prerogative. Simple as that. Any criticism of them ultimately boils down to resentment of their wealth. It’s no different from a middle class family gifting their new driver child a Camry, or poors with a used beater.
This young lady was surprised by her parents on her Sweet 16th birthday with her dream car- a Porsche.
Some people are congratulating her on receiving such an expensive car.
The majority of people are criticizing the parents for buying her such a car to be her first automobile. They are saying that kids that age are still learning how to drive and they don’t need their dream car at 16.
I wouldn’t buy my kids that for their first car. I would want them to have something to work for. But that’s me.
If you are or were financially able to do so, would you buy your 16 year old a high priced vehicle like that? Or, do you think that is over the top?
