The whole church is a kingdom of priests, but God calls out little priests to perfect the saints by Word and Sacrament so that our humanity is exalted with Christ to participate in the divine nature. My Ascension Day homily (1 Pet. 5): soundcloud.com/st-aidans/6-th…

One reason we confess the Nicene Creed each Sunday is because God raised up a theologian like Gregory of Nazianzus. Today is his Feast Day! Pray with us: Almighty God, who has revealed to your Church your eternal Being of glorious majesty and perfect love as one God in Trinity of Persons: Give us grace that, like your bishop Gregory of Nazianzus, we may continue steadfast in the confession of this faith, and constant in our worship of you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen. -Lesser Feasts and Fasts

Matthew Barrett@MattMBarrett·
I used to think of morning and evening prayer as something I can fit into my personal “quiet time.” Since becoming Anglican my whole perspective has changed. United to Christ’s body, together we participate in the communion of the saints as we confess the one holy catholic and apostolic church. We are prepping for @TheAnselmHouse to dine and discuss the catholicity of bishops and why they formed a council, the council of Nicaea. I am preparing the 2027 schedule soon. Look for it: theanselmhouse.com
