I’m no Surprise Expert, but I would think one of the biggest rules in order to successfully execute a surprise would be to NOT make an announcement to the media BEFORE the surprise. Please community note me if I am not a ball knower in the realm of surprises.

I will say…I think they are great for kids, but when I have to hear grown adults praising and critiquing them…it makes me scratch my head. What enjoyment do you get that you couldn’t have gotten from the games? These hollow movies only exist to build an already massive IP.

My old man take is that Super Mario movies don’t need to exist. Video games are already a visual medium, so why adapt games to a film? You can’t change much or else fans get mad. If you don’t like playing games but like watching them…YouTube and Twitch exist.

@CasinoJoe7 @CardPurchaser A.I. doesn’t eliminate human error. Someone has to program and adjust the A.I. The A.I. follows parameters set by humans…so a human’s subjectivity will always be present. You’ll be more consistent in some areas, but opening up new avenues for errors to occur.
