Took me the week to get around to it, but this puts last weekends #wallabies penalty count into perspective. The Schmidt effect:

@MattRowley For context about how impressive that is, there were over 30 consecutive games between 2021-2023 where we conceded double digit penalty counts. Of those 4 penalties, 2 were scrum penalties and the other two were in the first 10 minutes. 70 straight minutes of pure discipline.

When was the last time the Wallabies were only penalised 4 times in a test? #RSAvAUS

@MattRowley Important point, there was a period last year where every game we were down to 14 men for 10 or 20 minutes but I don’t think there’s been a yellow card in 2025?

@MattRowley @MattCockbain We only conceded four. Almost unheard of to be that low. Decade to date has been a huge Achilles heel, i.e. poor discipline.
