This is the last time I’m talking about this, and if Detroit loses tonight it’ll suck but I’ve gotten over it: I’m just now listening to today’s Hoop Collective (and it’s the only reason I wanted to comment one more time on it) and TIM BONTEMPS IS THE ONLY ONE WITH COMMON SENSE AND CORRECTLY UNDERSTANDS WHY PISTONS FANS ARE PISSED. The officiating has been inconsistent nonstop and it does feel like it’s hurting the Pistons more. And just like he said, despite all of that, the Pistons absolutely deserved to lose because of how bad they choked that 9-point lead. But, he is the only one I’ve heard correctly depict what it is Pistons fans are upset about.

Another good game for Tobias Harris. Hilarious how much Pistons fans are hung up on my mention of him bricking 3s last round. That was true and played into being down 3-1. Also true he's been a vital source of creation getting into midrange, which is a reason for the comeback.

The Pistons should've traded for someone better than Huerter. It was so obvious at the time. They could have had Ayo Dosunmu! Detroit has all of their future 1sts. Didn't use one. No guarantee they'll ever be in a better position than this year to make a push for the Finals.

I think “Pistons win in the regular season based on trying hard and that doesn’t work in the playoffs when everyone tries hard!” may have some element of truth, but they were a similarly constructed try-hard team last year and their playoffs were very similar to their reg. season
