Plenty of doubts about De Zerbi and clearly, no guarantees with anyone. But Tottenham landing a coach of his quality & status at this point, in this position, would frankly be a no-brainer compared to alternative options. What long-term? One focus: stay up.

Our club is a mess from top to bottom and the one thing the hierarchy have - extraordinarily, after serving up two years of utter slop - is that the fans are *united* behind the team. To throw that away by appointing De Zerbi would be so on brand for Vinai Venkatesham and co.

Paris Saint-Germain have been successful in their request to postpone the Ligue 1 match against Lens, giving the club a free weekend between their Champions League games against Liverpool. The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) granted the request of the French champions to postpone the top-of-the-table game, which had been scheduled for Saturday April 11. The unanimous decision was taken to move the fixture as it was scheduled to take place between PSG’s two Champions League quarter-final legs against Liverpool, on Wednesday April 8 and Tuesday April 14. The LFP have previously said they would always look to help French clubs in European competitions. It’s definitely not exciting but I don’t see another card. De Zerbi just seems like the dumbest idea in the world to me if we’re tied down to him.
