@TexasAce0328 @GolfChannel Good choice. They have the course, infrastructure, and accommodations to host a tournament that can be considered a “major”. A lot of people call the Players the “5th Major” because it is held at PGA headquarters and the TPC Sawgrass. But another overseas “major” would be cool.

I don’t see any changes to the 4 current majors. That said I could see a 5th major. The LPGA has 5, so does the Champions Tour. With the PGA Tour pushing its season start to February, why not make the Dubai Desert Classic a major? It’s in January, and a lot of the European guys on the Tour already play it. Dubai is a Rolex event.

@PatMcAfeeShow Belgium is good. Unless something miraculous occurs, the WC has been a good event and a lot of fun. However, we generally don’t care much because it is not woven into our national identity. Life will go on after the game. Been to 52 countries, “football” is life in those places.

@RGIII What the overseas haters don’t get is that even if the US drops this one, it’s not the flex they think it is. We will cheer for anything our country competes in. But if we lose a soccer game, we move on. We don’t go into a months long funk. It’s not woven into our identity.
