This is the 4th paper that concluded oxygenated nanobubbles do not benefit turfgrass.

@calebspackler @TravisShaddox We publish a paper almost 20 years ago, it was a 3 years USGA funded project, but that didn’t make a dent on sales

@Cornell_Turf There is a lot to break down in this article, I would love to have a conversation.

Three years ago, Matteo Serena barely knew the difference between a beaker and a bunker. Today, the native of Italy could be the most crucial person to ever visit your #golf grounds. Enjoy:

@PGRBill I’ve seen two USGA PG with drip under. Doing one more test next year. I’d recommend placing it slightly above the gravel layer, 12” by 12” spacing. Use the products with check valve especially if you got slopes. Capillary rise is present, not all the way, so sprinkler still need
English

@TurfgrassZealot Not if your irrigation system has a poor DU. You still need to apply water uniformly.
English

turfRad can measure moisture in a square meter. And that in turn can become a look at uniformity.
Can you imagine an audit every day?
I can.
turfRad@TerraRadTech
Even if your irrigation system tests well on DU, real-world moisture can tell a different story. turfRad’s Uniformity View shows how consistent conditions really are around each head — using data from the turf itself. More about these features here: hubs.li/Q03N3fpd0

@DLatshawTurf That’s not bad… the 405 is basically a parking lot.

Busy Sunday at Monterey CC in Palm Desert. Researchers always come up with new ideas, so this means starting a side project for new graduate students. @USGAGrnSection

@Ross_Braun Nice! I’m seeing similar results in Palm Desert, 90-120 days for full coverage.

100% turf cover in less than 3.5 months in some of these new zoysiagrass hybrids when sprigged! Funded by @usga @zoysiaresearch @KSUTURF @PurdueTurfDoc @ChandraAmbika

@Carl_Schimenti @Adam_Russell5 Availability on new material is always a problem. Cost or renovation and downtime next

@MatteH2O @Adam_Russell5 I was actually a bit angry after attending Rutgers Field Day. All those excellent new varieties, yet so few courses capitalizing on them. What are we doing?!?

Reduce Water Use: Start with Turfgrass Genetics! Don't just tweak the sprinklers. It's been said, "start with genetics." Upgrade your turf's DNA before anything else. #TurfManagement #TurfManagement Full Video: youtube.com/live/-bflD-f-D…

@TerraRadTech @jim_pav Curious about the math, 2M gal is used in two days on a summer day for a desert course. I get it north east, cooler temp, low ET, shorter season, still a total annual budget of 6.5M gal. Don’t get me wrong, supporter of this tech here, just trying to better understand the numbers

With #turfRad, Fairview Country Club saved 2 million gallons of water last year. That's a 30% cut in irrigation!
It also helped the team dial in firmer, more consistent conditions through precise moisture management.
This is what proactive turf management looks like.
