@BobSmith220 @Luke_Sutt @slimplimmy4253 @EFL What you don't see on TV is Matt Target dropping the in play ball next to the pitch rather than taking the throw, then walking down the pitch to the boy. The ball boy is pointing to the ball that Target should be using. It's trivial, but the ball boy doesn't deserve criticism.

@BobSmith220 @Luke_Sutt @slimplimmy4253 @BenPalmer78 @EFL Southampton have plenty to be ashamed about, but not the ball boy. This was Matt Target & Boro time wasting. It was poor behaviour from the player wrestling it off the ball boy.

If any players cheats on Saturday… dive, fake injury, time wasting, deliberate handball etc, should we expect the result to be immediately awarded to the other team @EFL?

@BenPalmer78 The EFL were out in a difficult position and had no choice but to expel Southampton. Not expelling them would be too weak a sanction. Southampton only have themselves to blame and have to take it on the chin, remove all coaching staff, apologise, and move on.

The EFL haven’t just punished us; they’ve ruined us. In addition to losing half our team, we’ll be sued for many, many millions by players, sponsors & rival teams. We’re essentially facing years of decline and pain on and off the pitch. Thats why this is disproportionate.

When the efl made the rule change after bielsa was caught spying, wouldnt it have been sensible to put alongside that what the punishment would be if the crime was committed. That would’ve saved them a lot of trouble. I think it’s important that the punishment fits the crime btw

@mattletiss7 This is true, but you should keep thoughts like this to yourself as you represent the club. In cup competitions, if a rule is broken then the team is kicked out of the cup. The club needs to apologise, remove staff involved, and look after the staff/players/fans.

@Mark74Smith @liamtribb The ball boy incident was Matt Targett wasting time. He dropped the ball instead of taking a throw, then walked over to the ball boy who was saying you have a ball already. Boro wasted time and disrupted the game as soon as they scored. They were better playing normally.

@liamtribb The handball is a pen and I am sure that’s why he didn’t give one against us. Not saying fouls just saying show some respect, then you look at what went on? Hardwood Bellis antics? Ballboy? The bus?
