Claude Desktop in code mode much slower than the TUI. IDK what it's doing most of the time, but it seems like the AI loop is several times slower.

output tok/s should be the single most important metric that AI providers should optimize on. Just slight increase in output has a significant positive effect downstream at orders of magnitude.

I am hearing tons of complaints from Cursor customers at enterprise companies: A silent change put almost all models Cursor uses behind Max mode. Devs who used to manage to “spread out” monthly credits over a month see all of it used up in 1-2 days. Are furious + switching.

@mholt6 @gmail Sometimes I think that Google and YouTube end up picking people who are really good at reviewing content, (Is this video good? Is this spam?) and use them to train their systems at the expense of the victim's UX.

@davepl1968 @GovBobFerguson That's seemingly unrelated to the subject matter. But okay, I'm sure Let's Go Washington or the like will try to do something about it. Now let's get back to taking about the reasonable expectation for accountability in law enforcement.

@GovBobFerguson I find it equally un-American that in a state with a Constitution that prohibits income taxes, you're assessing one. If not for the pesky Constitution, it'd be fine, but I'm a stickler for details.

I find it deeply un-American that individuals in unmarked cars get out in masks and pluck people off the streets. When I reflect on the hundreds of bills this session, I am especially grateful that Sen. Valdez's bill to bar law enforcement from wearing masks reached my desk.

@NewReaganCaucus You've tariffed us, insulted our war dead, threatened us with war over Greenland and stabbed us in the back repeatedly over Ukraine. That's a little bit more territory to cover than "been a jerk". And you've offered nothing at all in the new transactional relationship you wanted

As AI coding tools went mainstream, Amazon decided it’s not worth them supporting their Zoom clone, called Chime (that has paying customers!) And yet startups are assuming it’s worth rebuilding and supporting their own JIRA clones (with no paying customers) Who is mistaken?

If you use WSL2 + Claude Code, getting screenshots into your session is a pain. Windows Terminal can't paste images. Fix: PowerToys Advanced Paste can run a custom action that saves the clipboard image to a WSL path and pastes a file link Claude Code can actually read. Game changer.

We’re also launching Immersive Navigation - our biggest navigation upgrade in over a decade! A new vivid 3D view better reflects your surroundings, with helpful road details like lanes, crosswalks, traffic lights etc. Gemini models analyze real world imagery from Street View and aerial photos to give you an accurate view of landmarks along your route. Starts rolling out in the US today.

We’re bringing new capabilities powered by Gemini models to @googlemaps. With Ask Maps, get answers to complex questions about any place you want. For example it can help with complex requests like "Find me the best 3-hour family hikes in the Grand Tetons and a spot for a packed lunch”. Will try this next time I'm there:) Rolling out now in the US and India.

@cnakazawa It would not be better. And that’s not a dig against Node.js A big part of what makes Bun a great developer experience is the deep integration between the runtime, the bundler, and the test runner (package manager less so). Building on top of a runtime would be very constraining

Asked Claude 4.6 Opus to review a big refactor from Codex (GPT 5.4 xhigh) - "No issues found, ready to commit". Maybe because I didn't tell Claude the work was done by Codex 🤪

I’m always anti-gatekeeping. Learning jQuery before JS was fine. Learning React before manual dom api’s was fine. You can pick that shit up later. But the deep expertise needed to see subtle bugs comes from having made those same mistakes over the years. How do you get that experience without actually writing code?

I don’t gaf about grammar and couldn’t care less to be honest I learned English from video games and barely have a chance to speak English in a month I do care when writing semi-professional things like email/documentation and I try really hard and need help from a machine to assist me to proofread all the time But my quick (shit)post here, I wrote it in English so YOU can understand what I’m trying to communicate to you in YOUR LANGUAGE yet you take my efforts for granted and have the audacity to mock my words If you really care about grammar then how about you study my language so I can speak without thinking and instead YOU think about every rule my language has before you speak so you can understand how much effort it took before I can finish a single sentence for you to understand

Thinking about leasing a powered spot instead of buying. Anyone have a spot with 600 kW of < 5c power, decent fiber internet, and free cooling climate? We'll come drop a 20 ft shipping container off.
