@LegionHoops To be fair, Kon's whole argument is based on efficiency and impact on winning. This game should not impact a regular season award, but it does highlight his recent efficiency issues.

JUST IN: Kon Knueppel’s odds to win Rookie of the Year have tanked after shooting only 16% in last night’s play-in game. Cooper Flagg is now expected to win ROTY. This is insane and unfair… not just because of the reaction to one game, but because the play-in is absolutely NOT supposed to count for or against Kon Knueppel. However, this year, votes are supposed to already be in, but due to the league reviewing Luka’s award eligibility, they asked the media to delay their votes a couple of days. Despite the delay, Rookie of the Year is still strictly a regular season award, but traders are predicting that, since the voters are human, they’ll use Kon’s recent performance against him, even though it shouldn’t. One of the craziest ROTY races of all-time.
