Matthew, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your two books: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐴𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 and 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑖𝑟𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑇𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦. I had no idea there was an ancient reading practice called “prosopological exegesis.” I was always wondering what exactly was going on during the first two centuries leading up to Nicaea concerning the doctrine of the Trinity (what caused proto-Trinitarian thought).

@MatthewWBates Your πίστις = allegiance work reframes faith, but it also has massive implications for assurance. A book on assurance without feelings, introspection, or anxiety—grounded in allegiance to King Jesus would fill a gap no current assurance book really touches. The NT seems to point there already. What do you think?
