Preached the God-servant dialogue in Is.49 as a pre-resurrection, inner-Trinitarian dialogue between Jesus and the Father. It seemed to have gone well. Thank you @MatthewWBates for all your work on prosopological exegesis. Game changer.

Since I preach once every 6-8 weeks I try to hone in on one aspect to grow in each year. Last year I focused on preaching to the heart. Taking heed from the puritans' ability to extract devotional diamonds from any verse. This year my goal is to grow in preaching the Old Testament lesson each time. With the goal of growing in my ability to preach it as christian scripture. Following the early church's boldness in pointing out Christ in the shadows of the Hebrew Scriptures with no embarrassment.

@MatthewWBates Your πίστις = allegiance work reframes faith, but it also has massive implications for assurance. A book on assurance without feelings, introspection, or anxiety—grounded in allegiance to King Jesus would fill a gap no current assurance book really touches. The NT seems to point there already. What do you think?
