@RaysRanter Fascinating, could you try doing an f test regression with both attack angle and exit velocity and see how well bat speed correlates to both of them combined?

I took data of every MLB pitch since the beginning of 2024 Here’s how Bat Speed correlates to the following hitting metrics

@moneymosh12 The fact of the matter is cash would rather jdom get reps so he’s more consistent and isn’t mauled by the Yankee public. Which tends to happen often for mistakes

@moneymosh12 You say that and then jdom drops a ball in the 9th inning that gives up the lead. I understand the frustration but I think cash rather have the public upset w him and gruichuk and allow jdom to make mistakes and get reps so he isn’t in his own head

@eyyankees If he could even play slightly below average defense he would be fine, but the kid misses everyday flyballs often, it’s concerning

The team's depth compared to what they had in years past is unparalleled.

Trey Yesavage made a rehab start in Lo-A today! The Blue Jays pitching phenom is working his way back from a shoulder issue that kept him out throughout the Spring. His velocity is back to normal levels and he is enjoying the additional iVB the MiLB ball provides

@Matthewg_7158 @YankeesFanEarl Cam has 2 years more control. 4 years of skenes is absolutely worth more than 6 years of cam. It’s not like skenes is a rental

I’m not saying he’s better than Paul Skenes, but I don’t see how it’s a crazy take to say you wouldn’t include Cam Schlittler in a trade package for Skenes.

@Matthewg_7158 @YankeesFanEarl Skubal who is better and has back to back cy youngs just got 32M which is an absolute bargain in his ARB 3 year. If you’re the Yankees with judges window closing and you don’t want skenes because he’s gonna be 15-30M more expensive than that is absolute malpractice

@PittsPiratePepe @thats_bb_suzyn You fail to understand the concept of basing the floor on how much the average teams make. If every team on average makes money, the cap increases, if the average team doesn’t, it goes down. Simple. I’m pretty sure you’re slow to not account for that

I’ll say it again. This is about MLB owners getting ahead of the salary cap, because there will be a grandfather clause.
