I think the "boy mom" shit baffles me because I have a close friend in his 30s whose mom did that shit and his response since he was old enough to leave home was "this is emotional incest, get therapy and stop or i go no contact" which is an avenue these moms never consider

@JulianKJarboe I kinda see the "boy mom" thing as a more flagrant iteration of something I think is sort of common - moms using their male children as a captive audience that is meant to give them what they aren't getting from their husbands (e.g., someone to talk to, emotional support, etc).

@mechabowser I've noted before how being Mexican and vegan is probably hell on account of how many of the staples have meat prominently integrated into the recipe. That doesn't mean I'm excused from the moral calculus here, but I am self-admittedly too lazy to follow through.
