100. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back You couldn’t pick anything better to watch on May the 4th than The Empire Strikes Back, the movie that changed Star Wars forever in all the best ways. The writing is a noticeable improvement from the first which wasn’t bad by any stretch but this movie gives them more room to flesh out the character dynamics, particularly Han and Leia but we also see how much C-3PO and R2D2’s relationship has evolved since A New Hope and (as if there was ever any doubt) how much Chewbacca loves Han. Then there’s the introduction to Yoda and Lando, two of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe. So much of what Star Wars is came from this movie and the last 30 minutes is peak Star Wars, it quite literally doesn’t get any better than that.

99. The Animatrix I really enjoyed this, it was great seeing the world of The Matrix through the eyes of someone other than Neo, Trinity and the crew from the movies. All the different animation styles was really cool too and made each story feel that much more unique from the last.
