@WayneinRome That would be the best time to pass it on. Dybala coming back from surgery means he'll likely play little, but it would be a great symbolic gesture for the best player we've had since Totti

Hypothetical: It's August 2025 and Dybala just signed a new contract. He decides to take the no.10 shirt. Are you upset he's taken it? Consider that few have led this club the way that he has over the last few years.

Unfortunately, RFK Jr. does not seem to understand that the problem with our food system is the UBIQUITOUS EXISTENCE OF CHEAP, CALORIE-DENSE, HIGHLY PALATABLE FOOD. That's it. That's the whole problem. It has precisely nothing to do with food dye or high fructose corn syrup.

In this paper, we made nanogels that size-switched and released chemotherapy "on-demand", i.e. after ultrasound. How much was released was based on its composition. We showed that size switching was essential for penetrating - and killing - in vitro tumour models. 2/3

When reviewer #3 = ChatGPT. This is a new first for me. Reviewer number 3’s comments were clearly written by ChatGPT. Is this to be expected now? Call to action to all journal editors and reviewers not to less this become the new norm.

⚠️Daniele De Rossi's FIRST press conference as #ASRoma manager⚠️ Full translation of transcription below: Welcome back to your home. There is a double conviction: emotional and on the pitch. What work have you brought and what Roma have you seen and what type of Roma would you like? “I see faces I'm fond of. When you change manager you see players who are doing well in training. It happens when you change a great coach or a mediocre one. The first training sessions give you an answer up to a certain point. We have to see if we will keep this up for a long time. "There has been an incredible response, they train hard and are available. They have absorbed the two or three new concepts but no more because at the beginning you risk confusion." Have you heard from Totti? “We spoke and he wished me good luck and he showed me his happiness and his amazement that Roma was mine too. We spoke a couple of times. We promised to see each other but now he's going to China. We will spend some time together which always pleases us regardless of who coaches Roma." What is Roma's problem? Looking ahead, you would be happy if… “I would be happy if we were in the top four. It's not an easy goal but it's possible. When you change coach there are always problems. I already went through that a year ago. I thought there weren't all these problems but ownership did. "There are changes in football but I have to start from 0-0 like the matches. I have to see what things aren't working but in a few days you won't have time. I'm lucky because for reasons as a supporter I saw all the matches. Even with the eye of a fan who looks distractedly but I've seen it many times and we shortened the study period." Is it the right time to return to Roma? “Was it the right time to reject Roma? You don't reject Roma. This is what happened to Juve with Pirlo. There are men who refuse and others who throw themselves into it. It's not just a question of nostalgia, one also analyzes this team. I would have said no only if I thought the team was poor. I think we are strong and the work will make us improve and help me in career development. We will see it in a few months." What would you like Daniele De Rossi's Roma football to be remembered for? “The phrase 'my football' gives me shivers. Sometimes I have heard this thing said to coaches I respect but it is wrong. Football is not mine, if Guardiola says so we can ask him to explain it to us. The same goes for De Zerbi, Conte or Simeone who moved something. I don't know if I'm at their level but you can recognize good coaches by how the teams play. "I think that if our team at the end of this journey is recognizable and if they know what to do on the pitch I would be happy. Being remembered as someone who makes people play well and win is enough for me." There are no conditions in your contract until June but there is a bonus for fourth place. We also talked about the Europa League and what did they tell you about the future? “The presidents were clear about the duration of the contract and my stay. I said ok and asked for a bonus. I didn't sign blankly but I signed at the amount they (stipulated), but I won't always do that. It was a great opportunity. There are no conditions for the renewal and I told them it was fine with me and I want to play my cards. I only asked them to treat me as a coach and not as a legend/nostalgically. I won't go around the pitch with Romolo. "They agreed on this so they know that from the first second I heard from them that I will gamble to the death the possibility of staying here. They are happy with this, I want to deserve confirmation on the field and not for what I have been. It would be a dream for me." Have you already got an idea on how to defend? “I'm starting to fall in love with this job with Spalletti and the final bow was given to me by Luis Enrique. For me, these types of coaches who bring many players into the offensive phase and defend with four have been an element of my best seasons. But this team was built to play back-three, we tried both. "You can play in one world and build in another with rotations. These are mechanisms that we have not studied but the players are experts. We could change during the match but also during the match based on the strategy and the team we will face." There is a particular climate outside Trigoria. Someone mentioned a calming effect, do you have this impression? “I don't need stimulation and it doesn't destabilize me at all. I'm not stupid, calming is a lame way of putting it. When choosing how to replace such an important and beloved coach, many factors must be taken into consideration. I'm not saying they are the right choice but with other coaches the reaction would have been even more devastating towards the team. "The fans are important and the full crowds brought the points. No one is as capable as Roma fans of loving two people. They love Mourinho but it won't be difficult to love me too and stay with that path of heat and chaos (he means like a tumultuous path). "Obviously they didn't choose me because they were impressed by my results at SPAL, I'm not surprised. We'll find out if the choice was right and I took advantage of it. I think it could be a great opportunity for me to become the coach I want to become." As soon as you entered the locker room, did you feel as the Roma coach? “One doesn't expect them to send away the most successful coach in history and take you. They didn't force me to accept or put a gun to my head. I expected a more gradual process but football is full of coaches who came in on an interim basis and then stayed on. "The latest example is Palladino who is now among the best in Italy. What happened to me isn't that rare but I imagined it different. I feel like Roma's coach and I think we can respect each other even knowing we are friends. "I don't have to pretend to love Cristante and Pellegrini. I never pretended even with the fans. They also advised me not to come with my car, once I enter the pitch I feel like Roma's coach and they like me. I know this isn't enough." Did Roma make Mourinho fed up? Did you hear/feel it? “I sent him a casual message. He wrote to me when I signed with SPAL, it was a necessary gesture. If he gets bored you have to ask him and I don't care. I have to think about what's in front of me and what I have to do. I was forced to talk about a lot other than football. I can't wait for this thing to normalize and for me to be able to just talk about football." you said that Roma is strong. What were the problems, were they tactical? Who surprised you the most? “We could see some problems when watching the match but I don't think Roma played badly, they played some badly and some well. This caused an up and down that brought this distance in the standings, Roma does not have any sensational (gaming) problems. They played great games with Atalanta and Napoli. We asked ourselves a few questions but I won't say it here. I was aware that the players are strong then live you are impressed. You see how Dybala, Lukaku and Pellegrini touch the ball and you are amazed. Pisilli impressed me, I admit I'm guilty of not knowing him well and he impressed me seeing him live. He is still a kid but he has a lot of quality." What's not to be underestimated tomorrow? “First of all Verona. They are a solid team and coached by a coach who I also respect as a man. He kept the team on track at a time when they were talking about other things. He won against Empoli and the team is solid. The players are very physical and have a defined game. The emotion of the debut should not scare us. There will be a bit of bad mood but I hope not. We must remain calm."

@WayneinRome I don't love the Conference League slander but I do love his take on De Rossi's time at SPAL (especially since I know basically nothing about it) DAJE RADJA

Radja Nainggolan has a strong opinion on the managerial switch: “#Mourinho’s Roma didn’t even get a shot on net - they won the Conference which is a trophy that doesn’t count much and miss what they were from three years ago. “De Rossi? When SPAL fires him, every player cried. I’m convinced that he’ll surprise (people) by guiding #ASRoma.”
