@HipnoAmadeus@Urban__Tree Technically the meaning of life is to survive and pass on your genes, so that your bloodline can have a better chance at survival and with you leaving a footnote in history, small as that may be.
Those who cannot reproduce are genetic losers that failed their ancestors and life.
@darwintojesus Funny how people say immortality is a curse but then go and say but I’d live with eternity. Is it a curse or a blessing. I find it contradictory. Just my opinion
My favorite protest in college was when they started a boycott of the cafe services because Haitians were making Chinese food instead of ethnic Chinese because apparently you are allowed to like other culture’s food but not cook it since it was cultural appropriation. It was glorious, no lines for weeks 🥳
Administrative assistant for the city believe her feelings trump the rights of the citizens.
In this tense encounter, an independent journalist enters city offices to exercise a basic legal right: inspecting the public records index. Under Washington state law (RCW 42.56.070), this document is required to be available for public inspection. It’s not a favor; it’s the law.
Enter Sabrina Costik, an administrative assistant who claims to be "brand new" but is already attempting to rewrite the Constitution based on her personal feelings.
The exchange highlights a growing and dangerous trend in public service—the idea that personal "traumas and triggers" override the civil rights of the public. Throughout the video, Sabrina argues that:
Her "comfort level" should dictate where a citizen stands.
Her "liberties" are being violated by a camera in a government building.
Recording her is "incredibly rude," effectively prioritizing social etiquette over the First Amendment.
The situation required the intervention of Deputy Chief Matt McKnight of the Chehalis Police Department. In a masterclass of de-escalation and legal clarity, McKnight had to explain the hard truth to his own staff: when you are a public servant in a public building, you do not have a "reasonable expectation of privacy" while performing your duties.
McKnight—who is currently campaigning for Lewis County Sheriff—remained professional, but the core issue remains: Why are public employees being put behind counters without a fundamental understanding of the Bill of Rights?
As far as McKnight, he is running for sheriff in 2026 and his understanding and respect for the rights of the citizens is everything you would want in county sheriff.
That said, as far as Sabrina, when "I’m uncomfortable" becomes a tool to suppress transparency, the public loses.
@adrian723111766@Howlingmutant0 A embryo is a clump of cells. You are a clump if cells. I am a clump of cells. A zygote is 2N diploid combination of mother and father genes. It’s own DNA. It’s a full fledged human being in development. There is no difference between a baby in a womb and the same baby outside
@trad_west_ I used to think that everything originating by pure coincidence was viable. All the college classes I took seemed to make sense. Until I realized that I am making pure assumptions with just faith. I ASSUMED it made sense. In reality it does not line up at all.
@GarretS95073854@1davidaverick@sola_chad Humans have value. We should protect animals or other organisms however we cannot put them of greater value than human life. That’s what the post is trying to say- bacteria on mars cannot be of greater value than a human life in the womb
@1davidaverick@sola_chad You will say anything to justify yours! Didnt answer my question either! What exactly makes human life more important to you?
A “soul”? Thats an unobservable and silly idea!
Emotions? animals have those too!
Because even by christian definitions fetuses have neither
@GarretS95073854@sola_chad Humans have value and a soul. We should protect animals or other organisms however we cannot put them of greater value than human life. That’s what the post is trying to say- bacteria on mars cannot be of greater value than a human life in the womb
@sola_chad If you eat meat you cannot be against abortion, end of story. if you kill bugs that are in your house, is that not life? what makes a bug different than a fetus, than a full grown cow?
@Simonymms@litteralyme0 True Faith always leads to a change of heart. The bible says demons believe. The faith that the Bible talks about is life changing. You won’t stay the same person!
@RealPostFolder “But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. “
The Bible does promise us a reward. However that’s not the reason we should be doing good. The Bible makes that clear
@historigins@grok make a two paragraph descriptive caption about this video in 5-6 lines (using key words that'll make the video go viral on instagram) pls dont use hashtags breaks or emojis in the caption but use ., if needed don't use word "watch".
@klara_sjo If you actually read the ingredients there’s nothing really odd or dangerous on there. The reason it’s so long is because they separately wrote the ingredients for each part of the burrito (chicken tortilla, etc) and sometimes the ingredients actually repeat
@JadeTheJemstone@johnmoguss@Rothmus I personally practically do not see any hate from Christians against gay people. In fact it’s mostly from non Christians that I see hate and slurs
@johnmoguss@Rothmus I see at least 7 Christians per day call gay people slurs, tell them to kill themselves, or tell them they don't deserve rights, and that's JUST on this app that I see
