Just like during Covid we, like lots of other independent retailers, are still here working with local farmers. Our free range eggs come from a farm about 2 miles away. Yes they have gone up in price but we ,like our custmers don't mind paying the farmer a fair price #shoplocal

Absolutely fuming tonight at this absurd policy by the Scottish Govt to make our holiday cottage that diversifies our farm pay £460 for a “license” to operate as well as potentially having to pay for and apply for planning permission. @NFUStweets @ScotLandEstates

@fleroy1974 @GHGGuru This is a direction of travel that we all need to come to grips with. As a sector we should be looking to baseline our carbon emissions and soil health today to quantify the impact of our improvements and management.

Brown trout fry. This stream originated within the farm and we have invested in fencing out livestock and planting riparian woodland in the last few years. Clearly it’s paying off environmentally and if not economically.

In a new level of useless … our recycling bin was not collected today because the small bungee that is used to hold the lid down so that the recycling doesn’t blow away in the wind, posed a threat so dangerous that council workers couldn’t empty it 🤯🤬🤯🤬🤯

@WhitriggsStuart We struggle getting Ag lime onto our ground due to weight of gear but we have got around it using Calcifert lime which allows us to spread with dual wheels and a fert barrow.

Lime being applied up the hill where the cows have been all winter. We have never been able to justify lime up here before so its got abit of climbing to do from 5.3ph.

@CammockSalers A couple of years ago, when scanning (via a rectal probe) we discovered a 4 yr old hind with no bum hole. Bit of a surprise all round. Quite healthy though🤷🏻‍♂️

One lamb has no bum hole at all. The new born one now has a much enlarged bumhole due to a raven getting it....
