Paolo Banchero is easily the 2nd best young star in the NBA behind Wemby and it’s honestly laughable how little attention he draws. He’s must see TV: y’all just pick and choose.

I'm gonna be writing a newsletter about Sports — the big sports, but also whatever weird sports are interesting to me — every Monday and Thursday. It's called Sports! because it's about sports

@tomhaberstroh I appreciate this chart because it provides important context but I think it needs a little more nuance. First off. Why are the Pelicans an “A Team” Then ex. 22 out of Boston’s 35 “A team” wins came against the play in teams and Toronto. Maybe do A, B, C

NEW TOM THE FINDER POST: Which team dominated vs. non-tankers? I ran the numbers. One team stands above the rest.

This is why NBA coverage sucks. It’s judge based on who yells the loudest and can insult the most current NBA players instead of providing proper context.

The Knicks Net Rating is built on the strength of beating - Brooklyn by 40 and 60 - Utah by 30 - Washington by 30 2x - Chicago by 50 Teams don’t get more than 1-2 of those kinds of blowout wins in a year and the Knicks have at least 6 of them???

Now that I’m getting back into basketball and seeing things like - OKC has an all time net rating - The Hawks are playing like a 55 win team since mid February - The Knicks are better in every metric this year v last year - Boston won 56 in a gap year - And more

@TommyBeer Look. I’m all for fire Thibs but the numbers you’re providing are so disingenuous and lack context. Half the league this year stopped playing basketball in January so yes obviously there was going to be stats that are positive in our favor. Do just a little better

@BuonoBall not one tweet since September 2025 about Paolo or the Magic. Quite possibly the worst take in basketball history & you can’t even take it and admit you were diabolically wrong. You don’t know more basketball than the average fan so stop analyzing ball condescendingly.

@smorris291 @TouchlineX Sure but the framing of this tweet would have the average person think there’s thousands of tickets available across every match. It’s very few available and very few matches if any at all

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: At the moment, FIFA are growing increasingly concerned and are exploring new ways to sell the remaining tickets. FIFA launched its “last-minute” ticket sales phase on April 1, and nearly two weeks later, 26 out of the 72 group-stage matches still haven’t sold out. For example, the Jordan vs Algeria match in Houston still has plenty of tickets available, with prices around $400. The same situation applies to several other matches. Additionally, almost all hospitality packages remain unsold. These packages include premium benefits and access to all matches in a selected host city, with prices ranging from around $11,000 to $22,000 USD per person depending on the location and package.

@kickerzknew @chiefs0972 @RobUsry Oh that’s not actually true. I had a bunch of tickets. It’s not that you’re getting different tickets. It’s that you had no chance at getting the good seats within your category. Your just getting the shittiest seats in your category

@MauriceShalam @chiefs0972 @RobUsry , but that has nothing to do with the topic at hand which is them selling one ticket and then switching the ticket to another section that the people didn't pay for

For years the soccer world has used the USA as a cash cow for tournaments and events. They saw this World Cup as the grand finale payday and it's not going how the dreamed so they are resorting to fraudulent behavior as usual.
Henry Bushnell@HenryBushnell

New: World Cup ticket buyers accuse FIFA of “misleading” them. Altered categories, seat maps that failed to disclose hospitality sections — "it's hard not to feel scammed," one fan told me. Full story free to read @TheAthletic: nytimes.com/athletic/71756…

@kickerzknew @chiefs0972 @RobUsry I just work in the ticket industry so I understand markets. Every seat is sold out. If you can find me a seat from FIFA that’s on the market I’ll buy it for you.

@RobUsry The tickets are sold out and honestly aren’t that expensive at face value. The europoors and broke Americans are just mad they are poor.

Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.
