BREAKING: A major victory for America and Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District was secured today. The Senate just passed my bill to reverse Biden’s illegal mining ban in the Superior National Forest – it’s now headed to the President’s desk! Mining is our past, our present, and our future – and the future looks bright!

•The U.S. Senate may hold a floor vote TODAY which would overturn a 20-year moratorium on sulfide-ore copper mining on 225,000 acres of Superior National Forest land in the watershed of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) Wilderness in northern Minnesota. The Boundary Waters is the most visited Wilderness in the United States.  🛶 Enjoying the Minnesotan/Canadian wilderness by canoe or other lesser watercraft is one of our nations greatest available pastimes, and one I have personally enjoyed my entire life. We must protect these public lands from the rapacious capitalists threatening to turn them into a poisoned wasteland. •This vote in Congress would open the door to copper mining at the headwaters of this entire ecosystem. This kind of mining produces toxic pollution, including acid runoff and heavy metals, that can contaminate nearby waters. •The Boundary Waters supports a major outdoor economy that sustains thousands of jobs and generates over a billion dollars a year - built on clean water and intact public lands. But this vote would clear the way for toxic mining that puts all of that at risk. It would also set a dangerous precedent, making it easier to roll back protections for public lands across the country, including wilderness areas, national monuments, and national parks.  •This is a defining moment. If you care about clean water, public lands, and protecting places we can’t replace, now is the time to speak up. •Protect the Boundary Waters, and vote NO on House Joint Resolution 140. Let’s save this treasured place for all of us—forever. on.nrdc.org/4csRkwi

@GChassapis @SaraEisen @CNBC Lots to unpack here (trillions in investment? LOL), but WC this summer will be a mess: US politics & visa issues keeping many nations’ fans from coming, & ridiculous ticket pricing means that few regular fans can attend—the stadiums filled(?) w influencers and UHNW folks. Yuck.

Had the privilege of attending @CNBC 's Invest in America Forum in Washington, D.C. this morning. The event was timed perfectly alongside one of the more consequential backdrops for a business conversation in recent memory. A few themes that stood out from the various individual and panel discussions: 1) The domestic investment boom is real, yet still early. @USTreasury Secretary Scott Bessent opened the day making the case that trillions flowing into U.S. manufacturing, AI infrastructure, energy, and technology represent the beginning of a structural shift, not a cyclical blip. His view: deregulation, tax certainty, and America First trade policy are combining to make the U.S. the world's premier destination for capital. 2) AI ROI is still the central debate in tech. The panel featuring @Gary_D_Cohn (@IBM), @renehaas237 (@Arm), and John Stankey (@ATT) was one of the day's most candid conversations that acknowledged that questions around workforce disruption, supply chain resilience, and the actual return on AI investment are very much live. The pledges may be historic, but the execution challenges are equally significant. 3) Industrials are navigating a complex environment. @MichaelDell detailed how @Dell Technologies is leaning heavily into AI infrastructure, while David Burritt (@U_S_Steel), Jenny Johnson (@FTI_US ), and Raj Subramaniam (@FedEx) offered views of the macro headwinds facing legacy industrials, among which were tariffs, supply chain reconfiguration, and tightening in the labor market. Scott Strazik (@GEVernova) discussed powering it all and Marc Rowan (@apolloglobal) discussed the impact of Private Credit in its build-out. 4) Geopolitics is reshaping capital allocation in real time. UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves made a compelling pitch for the U.S.-UK economic relationship as a genuine strategic partnership (particularly around AI and clean energy) and framed trade policy as an opportunity rather than a constraint. 5) And in perhaps the most unexpected but genuinely interesting session of the day, @FIFAcom President Gianni Infantino argued that this summer's World Cup is itself an inflection point for U.S. soft power, investment, and global brand positioning. He also touted the opportunity for the sport to grow in the United States- a market that represents just 3% of the sport’s total revenue. Overall, a morning that reinforced something I think about a lot: the gap between the narrative driving equity prices and the operational reality remains wide. Policy tailwinds are strong, but execution risk remains real. Grateful to CNBC and @SaraEisen (who was a great moderator) for convening such a timely and substantive conversation.

Trump is becoming a laughingstock, but if you watch Fox News (I check in on it every day), you have no idea. So if that's all you watch, you'll think everything (including Iran) is going swell. This is part of the reason why Trump can never go below a certain point.

Trisha Hope - National Delegate-TX
I was a long time Trump supporter, I became a National Delegate to make certain Trump was seated as the nominee. While en-route to Wisconsin, I learned of the attempt on Trump's life at the Butler rally. I was in the middle of having dinner at a restaurant in Little Rock, AR. We immediately got the check and left, I was very upset. Prior to learning of the "assassination attempt" I was to scheduled to do an interview with The Washington Post, they had a reporter who was going to shadow me at the convention. He reached out to me after the shooting in a way that I found lacked concern for Trump, so I canceled the interview and did not allow them to shadow me. The purpose of allowing them to follow me was to bring awareness to J6ers. One of the hats I wore at the convention dawned the images of 4 J6ers, that hat now sits in the Smithsonian. At the convention of course there was massive concern for President Trump the consensus was it was divine intervention that saved Trump and we were all incredibly grateful. On the night Trump spoke, he had the ear patch on and many in the crowd did also. As Trump begin to speak, he started with this: “So many people have asked me what happened. Tell us what happened, please. And therefore, I will tell you exactly what happened, and you’ll never hear it from me a second time, because it’s actually too painful to tell.” As I stood on the convention floor you could have heard a pin drop as he spoke. My first thought was how odd for him to begin this way. He was nearly assassinated just a few days before and yet he was declaring this would be the only time he spoke of it, that was my first red flag. When people tell a lie, certainly a big one it is tough to keep all the details straight and doing so is an effort. In my opinion Trump made that statement to stop any further conversation about what happened. He gave us his official story, would only do it once and that was the end of it. Now we all know no one loves Trump more than Trump so this to me felt completely out of character. Fast forward to the questioning of Secret Service on how this was allowed to happen. If you look at the perfectly timed ICONIC photo Trump standing triumphantly screaming FIGHT, FIGHT FIGHT, certainly this was divine intervention....right? Following the inauguration, I found it odd that Trump wasn't going aggressively after those who allowed this to happen. He seemed to behave like it was no big deal. His Secret Service detail failed him massively, allowed him to be shot, and they allowed that perfectly timed photo op to take place Instead of his SS detail being terminated as they should have been, Trump made the gentleman in the white shirt the HEAD of the Secret Service on January 22, 2025. Instead of losing his job Sean Curran was given a massive promotion. Now, I want you to look critically at this photo. They allowed President Trump to stand up, exposing multiple potential kill shots, as the flag is gently lowered. Interesting that the other SS agents lower their heads as the perfectly time ICONIC photo is taken. Honestly, it couldn't have been scripted better if were to have been done in a studio. Since the attempt on his life, Trump has show no interest in investigating what really happened. He never mentions it, it's as if it never happened, except when he tells us, he took a bullet for us. As for Corey Comperatore, he was used in this plot, someone had to die otherwise, it would have been much easier to claim it was a HOAX. They killed Corey, likely because he was truly a real life hero, one people would rally behind and defend passionately, as they should. Then to top it off, they used Corey to their benefit at the convention. To this day his wife is begging for answers, answers she has repeatedly been denied. Sadly, they have no more use for her, she no longer matters. If you cannot look at this story, and use critical thinking skills and have at least some questions, you are the problem and we need you to snap out of it.

🚨💣 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄: At the moment, FIFA are growing increasingly concerned and are exploring new ways to sell the remaining tickets. FIFA launched its “last-minute” ticket sales phase on April 1, and nearly two weeks later, 26 out of the 72 group-stage matches still haven’t sold out. For example, the Jordan vs Algeria match in Houston still has plenty of tickets available, with prices around $400. The same situation applies to several other matches. Additionally, almost all hospitality packages remain unsold. These packages include premium benefits and access to all matches in a selected host city, with prices ranging from around $11,000 to $22,000 USD per person depending on the location and package.

Fox News: You said hundreds of super tankers are headed to the Gulf of America to buy oil and gas from the US. What can you tell us about that? Trump: Well, I can tell you that it used to be called the Gulf of Mexico. Now it's called the Gulf of America because of me. One of my little sidelines. People are so happy. I must tell you, I was thinking about calling it the Gulf of Trump.
