@FABAT23 Unfortunately, teaching in SA has always been about achievement, the results. In fact, in SA education is judged by Gr 12 performance. The 4IR requires minds which are open to new learning and continued development.

According to World Food Organisation's, food insecurity has been made worse by Covid-19. More than 60 million children in Africa are starving. The rate. Of unemployment is said to be one of the major contributing factor to this. #FuturetrendsInEducationLeadership

The High Court directed DBE to provide food to learners even when they are not coming to school. DBE has transferred this responsibility to school leaders. However, it seems it's a mountain to climb. What strategies can be put in place to address this?

@Ms_Mrholozi The need for retraining of managers has been evident in the failure by some principals to attend virtual meetings. Not because they are defiant or do not want to attend, but they are unable to use technology. The 4IR points to technology as the main communication channels.

Most school leadership preparation and training programmes prior to covid-19 are likely to be out of the step with the challenges facing school leaders, therefore it is vital that school leaders undergo professional development amidst covid #FuturetrendsInEducationLeadership
