We are very happy that today Apple issued a patch and a security advisory. This comes following @404mediaco reporting that the FBI accessed Signal message notification content via iOS despite the app being deleted. Apple’s advisory confirmed that the bugs that allowed this to happen have been fixed in the latest iOS release. You can read more here: support.apple.com/en-us/127002 Note that no action is needed for this fix to protect Signal users on iOS. Once you install the patch, all inadvertently-preserved notifications will be deleted and no forthcoming notifications will be preserved for deleted applications. We’re grateful to Apple for the quick action here, and for understanding and acting on the stakes of this kind of issue. It takes an ecosystem to preserve the fundamental human right to private communication.

Home mining is… running a miner, in your home…pool, solo, pointing to someone else’s solo node like CK, or building your own candidate blocks with your own mining node, that’s all up to you. And, that’s it folks, gotta run the fucking machine on your property, own your own machines. Pay your electricity provider, generate your own electricity, capture the heat, vent it, mitigate sound… whatever, lots of fun stuff. But anything else… not it Hosting , that’s cool, you own the machines, but someone else runs it for you, that’s cool, relatively unprofitable lately, and good luck getting your machines back without a great hassle, but at least they’re technically yours. Used to be a great solution for those with unreasonable electricity rates, you do what you gotta do. But renting hash!? Home mining!? 😂 you gotta be fuckin kidding me. What do I know though, spring is here and I’ll be taking the 5 miners I use to heat the house over to the gas well and will… get this… not be a home miner… until next winter. They all have epicUMC boards on and they’re more efficient than the ones they’ll be replacing. It’s getting warmer and it’s more important I make sure the phases on my gens are perfectly balanced and I like epic’s voltage controls, but I digress. I won’t be a home miner this summer, as I haven’t been in the summers for a couple years now. That’s right, I’ve been a home miner since 2018 (technically since 2012, but that’s another story 🤦🏻‍♂️) and I won’t be calling myself a home miner this summer as … THERE WONT BE ANY MINERS IN MY HOME!!! You get the point though, this renting hash thing is fuckin gay, and just the latest iteration of the Ocean/Dorsey/OP_Return/Luke/Mechanic/virtue signaling/BIP110 “I’m here to save ₿itcoin” faggotry that has been gay since day 1 and will be in perpetuity. These shrimpy little turds have taken more fun out of mining than this mining bear market and depressed hash price has. Get back to it boys, get back to it Pleb Miners, build shit, do shit, take risk, innovate, fuck up or succeed, it all depends on your work ethic and ingenuity. Man I long for the days of everyone putting S9s in igloo coolers and stealing free electricity from their apartment buildings, or pirating energy where they could (remember the school custodian that was setting up miners in the ceiling of his school, 😂 fucking awesome). IDK, that’s my two cents. Just a random editorial from me 🖕🏻💀🖕🏻
